So, If I'm wearing a ghillie suit and I put on a camo, do I lose the ghillie or do i find it packed in my inventory (like it happens with civilian clothing) ? thank you.

I want to confirm that I'm not losing the ghillie, anyone ever tried that?

Hi folks, for the last 2 days I've been movin up north a V3S truck stuffing it with lots of things. One night I parked it far north well hidden in the trees, but the morning after, it was gone. Seriously, gone. I of course saved it lots of times before logging out, and as I said, for the past 2 days I haven't had any problem with server restarts etc. Could it be that the admin of the server stole it? or maybe some hacker? thank you for your help.

I'm fairly sure it wasn't just normal explorers. I've been hiding it in several places and this time especially since I had filled it with lots of weapons, me and my friend made sure it was super well hidden. it couldn't have been found in just one night, believe me. I had found it originally in the ROG castle near elektro, with a bike and several tents, perhaps the admin's clan camp. they had surrounded the castle with tons of sandbags, wiretraps etc. but I managed to cut my way through and got away with their truck in the night, without nvg. it was a great experience and had a LOT of fun in these days with a vehicle. too bad it's over now. well.....time to move on.

I guess this means no arma III engine :((

anyone near Pogorevka guys?

Hi guys, I'm in medical need again unfortunately. So, since 1.7.2. if I load the dayz mod (I have it manually installed using the dayZ/addons folder method) and try to play any Arma II or OA mission, the mission will just freeze to the loading screen. all I can do is alt+f4 go in the arma 2 folder and delete the dayz folder. so if i want to switch between single and multi I have to do this cut/paste process. How can I fix this?

So, I updated to 1.7.2.3, got the latest 94997 beta patch and also updated my client.dll BE file. Still no matter which server I try to join, I'm still getting stuck at "wait for host" black screen. Can anyone help me plz?

So, until yesterday night I could play perfectly, everything was alright SP and MP. Today as soon as 1.7.2 came out, I downloaded and manually added to the @dayZ folder as I always do. Guess what, I try to enter some 1.7.2 and I get stuck at loading screen. Ok I thought it needs sometime as usual, then I went to load my OA campain which I started yesterday and I noticed in disbelief that the loading screen was getting stuck no matter how many times I tried to reboot the game. Arma 2 normal campaign wouldn't work either and the SP missions aswell, loading screen and empty briefing. Srsly WTF happened, I haven't touched anything in the arma folder or registry or cfg files, absolutely anything. this is just crazy. p.s. I'm using a non-steam version.

I uninstalled the game and I'm trying to do a fresh install without adding the 1.7.2. update obviously.

I'm not talking about only multiplayer mate, I mean the whole game won't work I get sick "invalid crew" shit errors and stuff like that.

lol all I did was to put this new update in the dayz folder as I always do, and now the whole arma 2 game won't work, I can't even play SP campaigns or missions since I get a lot of errors. I really don't know if this is related but I haven't deleted or modified any file in the arma folder nor i did any update apart from 1.7.2

I bought an ATI 7950 OC to replace my gtx470soc. I pumped the settings on very high and the game is running fine. Sometimes however I get some graphical errors. For example see the screenshots I just made (they are b&W cuz I'm at 2k blood). You can clearly see the artifacts that shouldn't be there. My sistem is i5 760, 4gb corsair ram, Gigabyte P55ud4 I'm also adding a screenshot of my video settings, hope you can help. Thank you.

I don't think this is a problem caused by ATI drivers with Arma II, since when I'm playing a single player mission, if I turn postprocessing on "very high" I'm not having those artifacts and the game runs perfectly, while I have to disable them while i play Dayz or i get those artifacts. I think there's some problem with ATI cards and DayZ however, maybe there's some fix to this problem?

I'm not sure it was fixed, i read sometime ago that it was an Arma 2 engine bug so rocket couldn't do anything about it. I don't know if it was fixed in a recent beta patch tho.

yes. however some people bought Arma 2 (which is itself an amazing game) just for Dayz and are now complaining about every f**king problem of the game. It seems the "alpha stage" isn't clear to most of the people who expects dayz to become a perfect game with next patch, considering how much they are stressing things. Guess what, dayz will still have TONS of bugs and problems with 1.7.2 , but as OP said, this is a longterm investment and trying to screw things up by wanting a perfect game, will only result in devs quitting the project.
