Medic's car? DE 2234, UAZ?
Kocot replied to [email protected]'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Just going off the "Medic" would be enough to give people a decent idea of what was in it ;) -
New to Dayz..need a partner to show me the ropes.

You're from the UK - That's good enough for me. Pretty sure I'd be able to help you get your hands on a few decent pieces of kit. I'll be home around 5PM GMT, I'd be able to play then if you like? Feel free to drop me a message, I'm at work so I may not get it straight away, but yeah. That's about it. Stay frosty, Kocot. -
Hey, I'm new, and I would like someone to play the game with, as I have heard it is quite difficult

Walk along the coast at night with your torch on. I'm sure someone will sort you out. -
Just a quick one guys. I was double-timing it down the railway from Solnichniy to Elektrozavodsk to meet a friend of mine when I noticed what appeared to be two telegraph poles close together with a couple of boxes between them, however, on the box I saw what appeared to be the top half of a zombie. I didn't think it would be anything good, so I high-tailed it out of there, straight down the tracks just to post this. If you'd like to check it out, it's pretty close Three Valleys (Along the track, obviously.) Didn't take the time to screenshot it, just wanted to continue my cross-country marathon.

I am fully aware of that. If you didn't grasp that, just hang your head in shame :(
-
Presumably, you mean eating beans?

I'm pretty sure it's more than possible to construct your own bazooka using some PVC pipe, a length of rope, a securely tightened end-cap, a golf ball and a three to one ratio of Chlorine and brake fluid.

Be more use than the bloody Makarov.

Just shut up and take my beans! :beans:

So, it was just turning day on my server with very few people online, around five or six people. Anyway. Recently, I've been reading the DayZ Urban Legends thread. So, this kind of didn't help matters. Back on topic. I was en route to Polana to commandeer a boat, not too worried about taking a shot because of the lack of people online. So, I scurried out of the treeline and hit the road, a straight line into Polana. The zombie count was low, it was still raining and a little dark. This didn't bode well with me at all. Not in the slightest. The only noise I could hear was the pitter patter of the rain on the asphalt. As I approached the bend in the (edit: ROAD) I saw it. A light. I just assumed it was a newcomer, however it was moving a little too fast and the light wasn't wobbling as if the character was running. Then I saw the big steel beast heading straight for me. It didn't slow or deviate from it's path. It just came straight for me. I unleashed a volley of fire from my M16A2 directly into the window. The truck was still steaming straight toward me. Another burst. Then another. The truck stopped. I got the kill. But seriously. I almost crapped. I had to abort and go and get a coffee after that encounter. My heart was beating double-time. I was shaking as I spooned the coffee into the mug. It was horrifying, exhilarating. I want to do that again.

@Fonzie Eyyyyy!

Hehe Kenny, you picked up on it.

I've got another story for you all. I'll put that up tomorrow after work. Just as a treat for you all.
-
I'll happily give you a hand. Won't be on until late afternoon tomorrow (Approx 5PM.) I'm from the UK too, so the language barrier shouldn't be a problem.

Radios are bad news mate. Bad news indeed.

Looking for a few players for already 4-5 player strong group!

Shame it's nights. Otherwise I'd most certainly be game for this. Good luck though. -
Double-posted there mate. I don't have one spare, but I do have one. Hint: Check the airstrip to the north-west.
-
I resent the use of "SAS" representing an American force.

Word to the wise. There's been tales of denizens lurking in the tree-line. Especially at night. Are you sure you want those goggles? Stay frosty.

Right. First of all: If this is in the wrong section, please feel free to direct me as to where it should be, or just move it there if you're capable. Anyway, down to business. I see a lot of "Squads" recruiting people. Asking for those who are skilled to join. They ask that you're able to hold your own in a fire-fight without (For lack of a better word) shitting yourself and aborting. Fair enough, power to them. However, there doesn't seem to be any way of confirming if they're any good until the shit hits the fan, hell, they can just abort and you're left on your own. Imagine that: Outnumbered, out gunned... Alone. Against five or so foes, all wanting to drop you just to take your tin of beans and your pack. So here's what I'm proposing: Team A, the recruiters, take their new-found comrade to a pre-arranged point where Team B lie in wait. (Team B are friendlies, perhaps a couple of people already in their squad.) However, the newcomer would be completely unaware of this. Team A explain the plan to the newcomer, for example, they're raiding a town for supplies. In the unlikely event of spotting somebody, they should call out "Friendly?" Team B would then call "Contact" and begin their assault on Team A. This is just a rough idea, however, it would allow the squad leader to analyse his or her team. Seeing how they would react under pressure. It would serve as an exercise for both the existing members and the new comers. I could see it being quite beneficial. Bear in mind, this is not exactly what would happen. But something along those lines, both teams would be kitted out with basic equipment, AK's or even side-arms. Your thoughts?
-
More power to them, that's sort of the idea. Which is why they would be kitted out with basic equipment. After that, they would be accepted. A sort of trial by fire, if you will.

Looking for long time group (UK Time Zone)
Kocot replied to Zortty's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
UK? That's good enough. I'm not running it through steam though, so feel free to PM me for Skype etc. I can play most times in the week (Mon-Fri) I generally end my session between 9-10PM due to having to get up early. But yeah. I'm pretty sure I'd be a nice asset to your little team. Feel free to drop me a PM and I'll reply as soon as I can. Regards, Kocot. -
