Ask not what your country can do for you, ask: Does your country even lift?

is this a good way to start?

Like everyone has already said, there's no right or wrong way to play. Keeping moving is generally the best option, I mean, there's nothing wrong with having somewhere you like to hang around. But if you're going to have a "base" per se, then make sure it has the essentials. IE, a water pump, enough cover to move around, and easy access to food. GL.

    switching firing modes?

Will confirm AK-101 tonight. Edit: As far as I'm aware, AK-101 isn't able to toggle fire.

    My friend, the psycho

    Better strange than sorry.

    My friend, the psycho

It was the most humane thing to do, he was wounded. Really it's just like when your dog gets old and you take it out back with a brick in hand.
  5. Good effort mate, but it's nothing a lot of people don't already know. Solid guide anyway, apart from where you called a ballistic helmet a basaltic helmet.

    My friend, the psycho

Better to be the one doing the shooting than the one being shot at, really.

    Question

But do you really want to hear Americans screaming? I'd turn my VON down if I were you ;)
  8. Probably a mic left on. I've heard people talking as if it were side chat when only direct is enabled, so could be that.
  9. By default they're the F keys, but he's pretty much nailed it there.

    Pronunciation of DAYZ

    Day-Zed, purely because I'm British.

    Ranking Of Melee Weapons ?

    Excellent.

    Stuck in first-person

I'm not sure if first person servers are active or not yet, but er, change server and see if it fixes. Personally, I think first person is better. Third person gives you an advantage really, i.e. corner peeking and looking over walls. Stick at first person for a while, it gets pretty tense.

    Sniper Rifles

This tickled me. And we're still shitting ourselves about those stingers.
