    Rarest Loot (Experienced Looters)

    I dont always hit military areas, but when i do i prey for a bugged out spawn with tons of loot...... when i randomly stumbled on a bugged loot area in a military place the other day. I finally found a Pso-1 scope and 120 rounds of ak101 ammo, AK hand guard rail. and some different stocks. ak74,ak101, aks 74u, standard ak mag, vests,backpacks ect so like all barrack loot x10. The scope i really didnt see for months, the rail for a long time, and the ammo was hard to find, i only had 40 extra rounds, before i found the bugged stuff and got 120 more rounds. SO until i got lucky and found that. Before loot was hit and miss for me. But when you find areas like that it makes up for the few weeks of not finding stuff. So after seeing that place i figure loot is still messed up. I havent tried to farm heli crashes. Lately, Thats what i want to start doing. im looking for an amphibia s pistol now, Smersh vest and backpack. The rare part for me was finding the magazine for the amphibia s. rare to me = weapon magazines(pistols mainly, havent seen a 45mag, i seen fnx,amphibia,makarov mags, 1 ak 101 mag, 1 standard ak mag, 1 cz mag ) , pso-1 scope(should be rare tbh) certain ammo.. i havent seen much sks ammo and 5.56 ....grenades dont care for.

    Is anyone in DayZ Standalone friendly?

    Im cool with people. Use your mic and talk. For me the talking part is the major part. Youll get a good judge from that. Just have to get into more crappy situations to learn from them. IF they dont talk back or respond, that is a red flag for me. or if they sound 12 or russian. Personality plays a huge part in my decision making, the hard part is trying to figure that all out in 1-2 secs lol if they are going to be cool or not. You dont need to start kosing people but you can stop helping every person you see, and especially watch out at military places, those are hotspots, If you see someone and you respond and they dont or you dont say anything, then expect that shit is about to go down. Also if your looting pay attention to sounds, SO many times when im in a city, i hear someone walking near by. That has saved me a ton.

    when im inside and get zombie aggro ill just run out the door and kill it. I know what your talking about. Till its fixed. i just deal with them asap. then keep on keeping on.

    Whats your gear run

    you can use something like http://dayzdb.com/map/chernarusplus and depending on where you are, figure out loot routes that way. I just plan a route before i log in and ill have an idea of where im going initially, So when im playing it makes things easier. But after playing for a while youll learn the towns and loot locations. But id study the map, if your still new and learn where things are, get more familiar with it. make sure your in a safe place if your in game to alt tab to look at the map

    Need some advice please.

    Get arma 3 when it goes on sale. if your reluctant to get the SA atm. SA is good but you need to realize the game isnt finished and youll experience bugs ect, if your not a patient person then id wait on the SA and go play arma 3 when it goes on sale. I like the SA so id say to just get it. but i also dont care that we dont have certain features in the game atm, i just like to go farm loot lol and survive. Also be aware that things get changed and messed around with, so one example is loot being funky, so you might not find food or any good loot, that can be frustrating or really enjoyable. but be aware things arent 100%,,,if you dont want to deal with that then wait, Start watching some SA videos of patch 0.50(thats on stable now) so you can see where the game is currently and also look into the new exp patches 0.51 to see what they are working on next. For my shoot em up game i usually play arma 3 for my survival/loot farm game i play dayz. Both BI games

  10. Im really liking the new towns up north. A town like this near the mining area would be really epic. Just in general the north area is coming along nicely. The new 0.50 towns are a nice addition to the north . I think the north will be really epic once done. Looking forward to the dayz to come.
  11. Im pretty sure vehicles will be squishy and easily take damage from rounds. Like something in arma 2 /wasteland, you can disable vehicles by shooting tires or the engine block. or spray the driver with automatic gunfire.( shit was fun) but i can see the SA vehicles being a complete pain in the ass to maintain and i can also see them taking damage pretty easily(or certain parts always needing to be replaced). If you run into something or get lit up. I think most of the physics are getting worked out since its seems like a new thingy they have been working on(like throwing ect), so id expect it to be awhile before it gets polished. They got a lot on their plate so we just need to be patient with things. I dont see them being bullet proof unless you can add armor plates to them, but im thinking that might be more of a mod thing eventually(with armor). Idk if they had talked about being able to add armor plates to cars, if so then that should stop bullets. But i think either way in a car your more at risk to getting pwnt, since you can hear them coming from a distance and cars will and always will be bullet magnets

    you realize loot is funky and that is the issue. Maybe read around more before flaming that food system is messed up because your died twice from not finding loot.

    Finding Tents in DayZ - The Efficient Way

    I havent really looked for any tents tbh. I dont trust if they will be there on restart. With the persistence servers is it there always on restarts or do you get boned time to time with it not being there(not by a player taking it but from a restart) It would be cool to go out and find them but im just curious about the current state of them being there when i log in(not to a player taking it) but with restarts ect.

    Those Dumb Zombies !

    When i was on the exp 0.50. I was able to lock zombies inside buildings and also be inside, close the doors and they stayed out. Most of the time it worked. Seemed like some buildings didnt work at times, or if the zombies were to close to the door when I closed it the zombie will path through it(its getting worked out im sure), But it was something i noticed on the new patch. So it will get better in time. it was fun locking 3-4 zombies into a house for the next guy lol. \when i went back to 0.49 they go through doors and i couldnt lock them in. So in 0.50 it was better. Didnt have an issue with zombies coming in houses unless a door was still open, they will still get in, but not so much of an issue with them running through doors. It was a lot better. just one thing ive noticed.

    Crafting A Makeshift Tent/Tipi

    Good work. Ya they need to add improvised tents. Since you can craft backpacks now. It would be ideal to create improvised tents/shelters at some point in the future.

    Improvised Tents Idea

    So i was thinking. We have backpacks, and we are also able to create improvised backpacks from rope, sticks and pelts. So i was running in the woods. I was thinking why cant we make improvised tents or shelts in the future, once they get things worked out on persistent items and tents down, add a future recipie to be able to craft an improvised tent. Like in a survival situation you would buiild a make shift shelter out of trees and whatnot from materials around you. Would it be a good idea to be able to create something like that?. to have another option other then a tent. So you have the option to use a tent or to make an improvised tent that is more camouflaged and low profile like how you would use an improvised backpack is over a mountain backpack.But the improvised tent would carry less items then a reg tent. How the improvised backpack carries less then a hunter or mountain backpack. So it would be more crafting to build a tent.     Explosions on exp server

    So i was playing the the exp servers the other day. I was hearing explosions in the distance. I eventually went to the area i heard them and noticed in the distance was a gas station but didnt hear or see anything when i was looking at it. IDK if anyone else has noticed that. I was thinking maybe it was people blowing up gas stations or throwing grenades or a new hacking thingy. I heard an explosion and seen a huge black cloud, so i was thinking maybe the gas station was getting blown up, but didnt see anything when i was able to view it from a distance. . i was just curious if people have heard explosions before on the exp servers and can clarify what exactly is the cause. Is it just a gas station explosion or something else? . I heard at least 4-6 explosions so idk, never heard that on dayz befor, I thought i was in wasteland for a while lol.

    oh ok, i wasnt hearing any gun shots but just explosions. But ya it was blowing up often so i guess its a bug that they explode every so often. It sounded cool but i wasnt sure lol, thanks for clarifying

    Small Chernarus

    with the current run speed and not exhausting out fast, it makes travel really really easy to get from the north to south of the map or east-west. travel is realy easy atm. I do agree though after playing dayz mod for a long time now and now SA, that the map could benefit in the future to a larger map, something like Altis size, that map with the arma 3 run speed makes it feel so gigantic it daunting to run across it. Maybe if SA used something like Arma 3 run speeds, it would greatly increase the run time between distances, thus making it feel larger. I figure once they add vehicles they will address the run speed and add something like whats in Arma 3. I do think it would be nice in the future if they released maps packs, like a North chernarus and West chernarus maps that add new areas N and W, Maybe the N pack can be deans everest climbing sim lol and the west is a more open area for hunting. IDk just a basic idea, but they could add more stuff in the future. I can see any new larger maps being a DLC and have it server side, so when you run into a new area it will load the DLC map so you dont have to run to another server and play N chernarus Mountain climbingz sim lol, and if you dont have the DLC map, it would say something like "to access this area you need the DLC pack" But with the new towns around the north the map will be nice with a reworked run system once vehicles make it, i would also like a future DLC with map expansions.

    How could we deal with hackers?

    people always will exploit things in the game that they can...if they are there people will do it. Hacking thats up to battleye to make better detection for hacks. THey seem to always fall short in that area,. But its alpha so its going to happen till they eventually fix it, i doubt thats high on the priority list atm.

    your choice in weapons?

    i like the M4 with mp parts,bi pod and acog or iron sight piece for CQB (havent found the silencer). . I just like the m4, always will. The m4 is more versatile imo. also being able to dump rounds down range is nice at times, its accurate with mp parts and bi pod for range( i dont do long range engagements, so the m4 is just fine for me, since most of the time i see or meet people is in towns and not in an open field. When the AKM comes out ill be using that most likely then the m4.

  23. id like at the least a future xpac with a way larger map.....when they add the prison and whatever else their thinking of, where r they going to put them, that fit, The map is big but we have been playing the same size map since arma 2 and they got paid and have the resources to add those things in, just add trees and bushes, id be fine with a larger areas west and north that are just forest areas and maybe have a prison up there, they can make it bigger. PLus that stupid useless island down south that is a waste. They could do something with that....wtf i remember hearing about them adding utes or w/e smaller island map past that island, id rather have more areas to the west and north then having to swim to that island, f**k it add it all lol, if modders with no finacial backing can make maps, then why the f**k cant BI make a banger map for dayz sa, i dont get it.

    Walking Dead Zombies vs 28 Days Later Zombies

    thats in the arma 3 engine,i think SA is using a modified arma 2 engine. but idk what the SA engine has vs arma 3 one, if anyone knows? i know the arma 3 engine is tons better then arma 2 one, the sa engine is better then the reg aram 2 one, but idk how it is compared to arma 3 but its no arma 3 engine when i 1st heard about SA announcement before alpha release, when arma 3 was released before dayz. i was hoping it was going to be on the arma 3 engine and was disappointed it wasnt. the sa engine is a lot nicer then the mod so idk how it would handle mass zombies but between all the loot and players and adding more zombies idk how the engine will do, from what i get from the devs they dont seem to confident in it, thats just me hopefully they can find a good balance but ya i see what you mean that would be cool with those hordes in towns or hot spots or randomly but well see if they put mass zombies in at some point.
