As the title says. I've done nothing as I have slept, woken, and now I'm at work. But what's a short summery of what you have done today?

First time I played (from 7pm to 7am) I shot my friend in the head with a pistol, 1 shot because he was being attacked by a zombie, and I swear his silhouette (it was near midnight) was acting like a zombie. Completely by accident and for some reason he didn't die. I panicked and didn't know what to do, but my friend acted quickly and bandaged and blood bagged him. He survived some how haha

I started playing with a friend it was his first time. After describing where he was I figured he was in kamenka. We met up with another friend my main dayz buddy, and went to balota where he had seen an m4. After clearing the jailhouse I set up over watch in the first room on the bottom floor so they could go check the barracks. While they were there I spotted a head tearing across the window. Panicking I aimed at the door and as soon as he came around a fired what I could. I hit twice but he went past the door. He was saying don't shoot don't shoot over mic so I told him to get out and run away and I won't shoot. He states his doubts but I told him I had two more friends closing in and this is his one chance. So he tore off and I watched as he headed to the tents. We three left and headed to elekt. We stopped half way between cherno and elekt right near the town I think pridigorky

Does that bipod actually do anything?

I have to alter my play style because of KoSers and that sucks dick... But I deal with it. There's no gameplay altering by you both not standing IN FRONT of the door. There is also no way he could have taken you down had you done the same thing he did.

For one you should have the door locked, two you shouldn't have been at that area to be exposed, go to another corner and three you had the same chance to be peeking as the other player did. Also could you not hear the footsteps?

Gta has third person and PvP. But it's not a third person PvP. It has cars and the ability to race them, but it doesn't make it a racing game. Dayz is a zombie apocalypse survival. It has PvP yes. If we're going to start calling genres by sub genres only then gta should from now on be classed as a crime third person city simulation racing sports flying diving property management game.

Define 'exposing yourself'. There are plenty of ways I can look over/around/through things with out anyone(except some who is already staring at the spot my eye/eyes are and within 10 meters) seeing me, or even having an inkling I am there.

I fail to see a scenario where you see my mirror from 500 meters away before I see you though. The only scenario I can see is the people who choose to be limited by first person against third Pearson is purely for PvP action. Go play a PvP FPS if you want that. If the argument is about immersion: I can't play dayz at full quality because my current computer isn't good and I don't have the money to go buy a computer, does that mean I shouldn't be allowed to play dayz because everything is horrible looking and stutters? There's no immersion in that. If the argument is to make firefights more fair then use third person yourself.

This is the stupid argument because you're missing the whole story from where you came from to where I was and how you came to be staring at the one bush/wall/tree out of hundreds I happen to be behind.

But how am I behind?

When while working at a crockery store smile at the abundance of beans. When you get a full coyote back pack full of beans at the expense of all the other shot you had found like another gun ammo and such.

So if you're staring at the exact tree/wall/ bush that I'm at then you have me pinned down. Adjust position ever second or so and I can't line up any shots. If there is no adjacent cover then that's just bad positioning by you, and has very very little to do with third.

How so? Go grab a small mirror and crouch behind a window, now look outside and tell me how that doesn't closest resemble your third person 'cheating'? This is really my only defense on using third person so if you can break it down and show me why that alone shouldn't allow third person then I've got no excuse.

I don't understand why no 1st personers don't respond to the mirror on a stick/gun argument from the 3rd personers....

I have a solution! Stop playing dayz as a PvP FPS game! Therefore you won't have to worry about TPV all the time! Every argument against Third is from the viewpoint of a hardcore PvPer. Not every encounter has to be bullets. Yesterday I saw four people who I had the drop on.(without the mirror on a stick/gun third person view) I let them pass because I didn't need to shoot them.

This exactly. Why lock every server to 1st person when we can just as easily lock it to third person? And Gib, children need vaccines, dayz doesn't need to be first person, it never has so that analogy just doesn't work. I for one would play about 1% of what I do now if it was locked to first person. You go and try spot someone peeking around a building 150-200 meters away in a city, or a forest or anything. Yeah it's not easy. Third person represents, not in the best way but in a way that can't really be simulated in dayz.

If this game is such a 'simulator' like the 1stP peeps keep saying, then wouldn't third person just simulate me having a car mirror or any other mirror bound to a stick and me looking over a wall? Or even bound to my gun so I could line up where I would need to aim? Not everybody who likes using third person use it to simulate this 'mirror stick' the same as not everyone who uses the 'mirror stick' wants to pee veee pee, at every opportunity. For every fact/opinion/argument against third person wrecking immersion, or giving unfair advantage or what ever I can think of one for first person. And if you want to remove the 'unfair' advantage then you're on the right track. Remove 1st person then everybody has the same advantage, rendering it a non-issue. I played 1st for about a month after hiring a server and forcing first. For the month I saw 7 other people on the server, and met one. 2 of them I saw more then once. If 1st only is implemented then if dip into it every now and then but it just doesn't work for me.

Why can I carry a total of 6 helicopter rotor assembly's but can only carry 36 pencil sized morphine injectors?

Server ANZ 7 is full of filthy stinking hackers. Spread the word and don't play that server.

I just chased some spawn killer about a kilometer with a zombie in tow while evading him trying to line up the shot on me, and I kept entering his backpack. He stood still too long for once and I stole the machine gun reloaded dodged him firing at me and unloaded into his head. Thanks for the gear ass hat. I bet he felt embarrassed to be killed by a virtually unarmed player, someone he would have seen as an easy kill.

Well tonight some asshat was camping a bunch of tents near kamenka,( the tents were surrounding a walled barracks city) I figured hey ill run in and get killed to spawn at a better (less douchebaggy) place. I ran into a supermarket,(modded map) and found an m1911 with two clips. I heard gunfire from two different people. One stopped abruptly and I ran into the factory. Snuck around to the second to top story and in the corner of my eye I see a bandit run from next to me. I quickly moved to my left, dropped to one knee and poured seven shots into his chest. He got one shot off in a panic, it hit my arm. I reloaded and fired one more shot to see 'neva died'. I had to laugh because he had an m16 with ten clips and a DMR with 4 clips, and he lost to an m1911.

Constantly clicking left mouse button. It's ok running, but when you hit a small incline and click, let's just say that isn't a good idea with a DMR or as50, especially with volume loud. I've almost pulled muscles with how much I jump.
