Hello moto

I spawn in and straight away I hear a helicopter. It is right in front of me about 500 meters away. I SOS it (server being night time) and it lands. Get on, greet the pilot and a minute later get shot down... Very strange

Is there a way to find out if a vehicle is spawning as an admin? Cos I want to make sure that the helicopter is spawned. I saw someone flying one a few dayz ago but I'm certain it was hacked in somehow. I don't care where it is I will look but I just want to know if it's spawning

Drop everything the second you spawn. That's how I'm playing from now on!

:P I hate sniping, the Bizon and the mp5 for me, too bad I've only ever found the two bizons. Or at the longest ranged weapon the M4

So if I spend three weeks carefully plotting my way through the world, carefully planning my way through towns and airfields to get the best gear, then I get teleported to the middle of the ocean and killed, of course I'm going to be pissed. Because I'm attached to my gear, how can you not be? I'm not talking about reading it a bed time story every night but you are going to miss it if it is lost, cos whats the point of gettin it if you don't really want it?

I had literally everything and was on the coast ready to give it all away, with my mate covering me incase the lucky douche bag shot me after I have it to him, when a bus came along. Annoying story short, bunch of hackers in a bus driving and teleporting along the coast killing people. My mate almost got away but they killed is both... :'( didn't even get to give my stuff away.

Me and my friend found 4 in 10 minutes once, on an ATV.

Because survival is fun? Finding a can of beans and a water bottle is an accomplishment? Isn't that fun? Finding your friends after twenty minutes of being lost is also an accomplishment? If you get bored of running for twenty minutes then auto walk or just hold down the button and watch tv...

This game isn't about 'having fun', it's about surviving. So no, no spawning with friends. Something like that is too easy to abuse.

Reducing the spawn chance for matches and limiting the uses would mean less wilderness survival and more village survival. How would solo players be more affected then other players? And more encounters leads to more chance of a misclick or something going wrong. Even professional sharp shooters would miss a target if given a certain amounts of shots.

Just wondering, I have rented a server and about three dayz in no vehicles have been spotted. Will this be permanent or is there a time where vehicles don't spawn after server creation?

No worries I was stuck in the middle of a the map in the ground with some pretty good stuff and really didn't want to die, so I spent a fair while looking up ways to help and eventually managed to unstick myself.... And then died not long after haha

Other then that I have seen three at once, it was kind I silly

The bizon is the best! Its my favourite because it is 64 zombie kills per clip, second only to LMG and it's silenced too. It would be my first choice weapon in every circumstance.

Was playing with my friend, I spawned at silnichny, and saw the VS3. I was looking for parts to fix it and had to go almost to Berezino. On the way back I was being chased by lots of zombies. I heard suddenly a tractor. He was going along the train tracks as I was. At first I was going to shoot him in te face with my revolver but then thought again. It looked as though he was trying to run me over but he was actually killing the zombies. Over direct I heard 'run' then a massive bang. I turned and saw that he had crashed the tractor which drew all the zombies. So I ran up the hill. I saw him get away and tried to follow. I was running across the hills calling out his name over direct. Fearing he was dead I headed back to the VS3. And there he was! He didn't know I was there and I contemplated shooting him again. I didn't and said I was behind him. We greeted each other and fixed the truck. We drove south towards elektro where my friend was reall low on blood. We picked him and he noticed the heli had spawned. So we headed north again to find stuff we needed. My new friend said he had a friend back south again do we headed that way while my friend decided to get the boat back to the island. We picked the new guy up and we persuaded them to get mumble. From there we forged an alliance and decided to get the heli to full operational status. So we headed north to get stuff, filled the truck then heade south again. My friend with the boat ha just arrived so after messing with the inventory to get the right stuff we jumped in the boat and headed over. It was a good couple of minutes just talking then we landed. We headed up and repaired all but windows.(we didn't know about the extra fuel leak if they aren't fixed :'() anyway we refueled enough to get to a fuel tank thing. I went with the first guy I met in the heli while my friend went with the other guy. We lifted off and twenty seconds later I heard the pilot say we were out of fuel. Hours of work flashed before my eyes as I heard the sound of the rotors slow. It was agonizing to hear, then slowly we fell. I jumped out and was cut up by the blades( only way I can describe it I was in mid air and still died.) I respawned I'm elektro and bad to dodge lots of fire pretty quickly. The pilot(somehow) survivedz. My friend picked him up and I said not to worry about me( there was LOTS of gunfire) and told him to fill the truck with supplies and weapons. I somehow got out of elektro and made my way north.(along the coast). I found another tractor that my friend had found alot earlier in the day and made my way to them. We met up and they had filled the truck with enough stuff to equip a whole army. Anyways we decided to go to our camp,(north somewhere). Along the way we discussed random things. Then as we were about to get to the camp,(20mins later) my friend clips the corner of a house and the truck blows up...(derr). They get thrown out and I stop the tractor and tend to them all. We laugh it all off and I decide to call it a night, (not before I shoot my friend in the leg, because it's the sixth vehicle full of good stuff he has somehow destroyed and I forgot he had no blood and then he died :D. One of the new guys wanted to die aswell so we shot him.) I quit. Lol that was easily the best experience I have had so far with dayz. This whole thing went on for about ten hours straight, ( we met the new guys about two hours in). My friend played for 25 hours straight that day and I would of but for stupid work, and guess what? He destroyed another truck he had filled with even better stuff! Anyways it was great cos through luck and me deciding not to shoot that guy we met up with a couple of nice guys and had an absolute blast.

I really like this idea, cos not many people would be able to blow another human beings brains out with a high powered and not eventually be affected by it... I suggest that during your life the effects that fill the bar become less pronounced as you would eventually become immune to it.

To be honest all you need is a compass, and you can run from coast to north with out need of food or water, if you go in a straight line. Even then you don't need a compass, just a good sense of direction. I like the idea, but I just don't think it would fit well with the game

Perhaps a 0.001% chance to drop some thing really worth killing the 10k zeds needed to realistically have a chance for it to drop?

We should be able to take the wheels and windscreen and other parts off vehicles, but only if they are fully in the green. Also we should be able take off parts of tanks and downed helis like the guns and place the (with difficulty and penalties) This would mean that people have more reason to shooter vehicles instead of just hoarding them. Also add in being able to fire from the side or backseat of vehicles to add another element to combat.

Not every gun on every heli would be unusable, it could be a 1 in 10 chance for a heli to have a workable gun. And a tank could be the same with machine guns

... You go to work at a supermarket and you keep expecting to see loot piles everywhere.
