Most players are online in the late afternoon/evening UK time. We have between 5 and 15 people average on an evening, but we just started on a new server. We are still growing. We switched server last week, the first one we had was unstable, it was hard to build a community that way. The new one is really stable, auto-restart every 6 hours, and it makes frequent back ups, so we can roll back if something bad might happen. But so far not a single crash. We won't pack our server to it's full capacaty. We are aiming for a 20 to 25 average on an evening. Enough to still be able to survive, but also to get in enough fights if you are looking for that. We also have a second server that we use for weekend events. Manhunts, Hold the Fort, Search and Resque type of events. Any aideas for events are always welcome.

I allready had a talk about that with an admin. I was told a bump every few days is not a problem.

Actaully we have quite a friendly and mature community so far. It's not easy filling up the server without a whitelist system, so we need all the advertisement space we can get. Is that really a bad thing? We are trying to build a DayZ community, I don't see the problem. And I haven't heard about it from the admins so I assume it's not a problem to them either. What do you do to support the game? Please don't hate on me mate, I had enough trouble on this forum allready. Thanks

We (1HW) will be recruiting new players to both join as a community and as part of our team. We have a private hive server PASSWORDED so no hackers or very very little as we have complete control of the server. We hope to build through time a regular community of people who have had enough of the hacking toss-pots in the public DayZ servers (we just closed our old server for this reason.) The server will run Chernarus for now. In the future we might run Takistan, Fallujah or other prefered maps. Before we make any map changes we will discuss this with the community (for instance with a poll). Make no mistake this server will be policed by more than a few Admins and logs and such will be picked at with a fine toothed comb to identify hackers and those people will be reported and banned with immediate effect and your details GUID etc posted on the public forums cheat report section. We also have our own Teamspeak that is Dedicated to the DayZ server so you can all use that too, to talk to your mates. We will grant each "group" a channel which you can password and call your own. Groups of people are preferred but single players will also be welcome. The server is fully operational as we speak. There can be no server hoppers since its a private hive, so if you secure an area its pretty much secure! The server will run 24/7 with frequent restarts. We will not beg you for cash donations to the server, but at the same time wont refuse it. If we did get an impressive amount of people wanting to donate we could think about running servers simultaneously (with different maps) But that's too far away ATM to think about too seriously, but worth mentioning at the same time.
