    If you use dayZ commander, I had this problem with DayZ commander. I was also using ArmA2 Free. What you need to do is go into the settings (on DayZ commander), then you will see a game directories subtitle. DayZ commander assumes that you use ArmA2, so you need to change the directory so that it has "arma 2 free" instead of "arma 2" at the end of the filepath. Hope this helped, because it has helped everyone who had this problem with DayZ commander before I have told :)
