As you all know the LB (heli) normally spawns at a castle - however I think this should be adjusted. POBEDA DAM SCENIC TOURS. Have the little bird spawn somewhere near pobeda dam, a place where scenic tours were once a favorite destination for tourists and locals alike. This is not only more appropriate, but also stands as a reward for people who venture all the way up north, to the dam. Cheers

Yeah I'd be interested, AU here. I know a few more guys + old clan members that would be interested. They're a good, seasoned bunch. Only 1-3 would actually play now-a-days though

1 - Please tell me that the hacking has gone down? Yes I have not experienced a hacker in 2 months+. Especially on private servers like BMRF and such. Its almost completely gone. 2 - Are there any solutions to server hopping yet!??! This was a MAJOR problem with dayz and EVEN worse with Warz and really jeapordizes the integrity of the game. So?? Yes some servers make you wait 10mins before changing servers :) 3 - Can hacking and server hopping be solved with any sort of temporary mickey mouse solutions!??! Do private servers or any known servers do a good job in shutting down these game breaking issues? They are, including combat logging. It's now got in-game restrictions on ALL servers public and private 4 - I heard on IGN there are new maps besides cherno? Is this true? How many? How cool! From the top of my head: -Namalsk -Taviana -Celle -Lingor -Taki -Falluja -Panthera -Utes -Zagrabad. Personally I love Namalsk and Taviana the most. They are both SO different and awesome to the normal maps. Each have their own little unique things. 5 - Please summarize any major new patch changes that may seem relevant to a player gone for the last few month? New weapons New guns New vehicles + helis + planes New zombie animations + sounds Other major stuff.

ahah this is so true!! Far Cry 3 I am constantly scrolling mouse xD and IRL when I see a heli I feel scared and want to hide under a bush!!

Oh come on man! Are you serious? This is a HUGE game, being developed by BIS, its not going to simply dissolve or dissapear. If Rocket were to update you every day you would be so accustomed to the SA already that by the time it arrives it would have no shock factor on you whatsoever. Personally I think it's exciting hearing nothing then suddenly BAM! And the SA is on Steam. People scrambling for it left right and center. Chin up little survivor, keep hope!! It's all we have left in an ill-gotten apocalyptic world!!

I was having a discussion with some of my mates about the good and bad things of 2012, for example my grandfather dying sucked, but something good was me getting the uni course I wanted etc etc. When asked what i'm looking forward to in 2013 *most* of all, I said DayZ Standalone. Some of them are gamers but none of them thought it deserved my utmost excitement as one of the best things in 2013; I still really think it will be though :) I just really, really, really.....REALLY need some sort of an update. Even one acknowledging rockets existence xD

At the moment we do have Medical, Military, Farm, Industrial etc kind of loot categories. However I would love if loot was more appropriately categorized for location. By this I mean in the city areas you dont find backpacks, but rather loot such as GPS's or stuff that would be there. For example, imagine coming across an old campsite in the wilderness with a couple tents, and 2-3 zombies with backpacks on their back. Or even dead guys, but find loot such as a little food/drinks/knives and maybe a backpack or two with the possibility of a hunting rifle. Crossing the Northern part of the map is a challenging treck, and would be cool if there were random campsites which could allow for food/water refreshments. Another point would be such as (after confirmation from rocket he wants fishing rods in the game) not finding fishing rods in barns and such, but rather in beach houses or boats on the shore etc. And not have these items spawn anywhere else (away from water). Also, not having farming zombies in the city xD Rather coming across zeds in the wilderness (only 2 or 3) that had a ghillie on them or camo, with backpacks and hunting gear. Thus killing the zeds would result in quite rare, although high-end gear. Another thing - I wonder if it would ever be okay to have snakes and possible snake bites in the game o.O hehe, i've gone too far now. Merry Christmas guys

TBH I check this thread (and rockets twitter/reddit) every 10-30mins of every day. Just saying.

In gunfights I go first person, but usually all running/driving/flying is done in third person. Only way to see the beauty of the map. Silly suggestion is silly

As soon as I get home from the beach I will help you mate, if not check some YouTube video. Hopefully someone else here too will help in the meantime
