If they're the same zombies from the Mod there will be no change. Let's hope we see more improvements in zombie behavior, being able to knock you down is a step towards the right direction. But I still feel like they're the copy-pasted zombies from the mod.

DayZ confirmed for August 15, 2018

Everything was working fine until I installed private military company. Any servers I try to join kick me off with the following message: Files "C:\Program Files (x86)\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead\PMC\Addons" *it then continues to list other PMC files* ...are not signed by a key accepted in this server. To play on this server, remove listed files or install additional accepted keys. I bought the DLC from Amazon since I bought the game from Amazon too.

The whole point of the game is to get good guns so you and blow peoples heads off harmless or not. It's just a giant contest of who can be the biggest asshole to other players. (and I love it.)

I was trying to play today, but getting banned by an admin for finding his camp was pretty lame. I feel like since the transition to private hives, admins are so power hungry. :| I'll be on the WarZ alpha.. even though it kind of looks like crap right now I'm still gonna give it a try.

^THIS There's not much to do after you've got the best gear and a vehicle. Might as well kill people at the coast/ help people at the coast. I used to hoard items/weapons and set up camps to gear up my friends. Now with all the duping/hacking its pretty pointless, as everything is worthless now.

What would you do? Would you enjoy this? Why or why not? Of course in a perfect world, this would come with anti alt-f4 measures. ;) I personally would enjoy this. It would make sniping a true challenge.. well it already is for me but for a lot of people they just get carried by their 50 cal. I tend to use the M14/SVD Camo. I also play on private hives so I rarely get alt+f4ers.

I'm sorry man but that server is shit. Incredibly laggy, restarts every 2 hours, donators rule the game, the owner has made 5,000 dollars off donations yet isnt buying a server that doesn't suck, they ban with suspicion without evidence, power abusing admins that ban you for killing them etc, etc etc. I don't take that server seriously, I just troll people on that. Now a serious private hive? Check out www.bmrf.me aka the Billy Mays Remberance Foundation. These guys do a fantastic job with their server. Very active admin that's always checking the logs/databases for hackers. Been playing there for at least 2 weeks haven't encountered a single hacker. Another good server- US1 Chicago hosted by Denalb. This guy is always looking out for hackers, he's even fixed most duping bugs present in DayZ. He's even found out how to make loot spawn while you're in a vehicle. That's incredibly kickass.

I was trying to play the new map Fallujah and the past 6 servers I've joined a hacker teleports EVERYTHING in the map and crashes the server. I feel your pain.

I would love to see them be more rare.. right now it appears SVD camos are more rare than 50 cals. Found a heli crash site last night with 2 as50s and an L85. Pretty neat stuff, not the first time I've got double 50 cals either. Also another thing I notice with the AS50 is it just has a strange bullet hit box.. I can shoot away from a person and still hit them even though I see the impact hit the ground. I don't know if its lag, but it just seems so easy! Especially with vehicles, all I have to do is shoot towards the vehicle and someone will drop out dead.

A word of advice; NEVER trust free hacks. This rule not only applies to DayZ but every other game too. Hell, you shouldn't have been trying to hack in the first place.

Is there a secret bundle of hive servers out there that just don't get touched by hackers? Seriously, I've been trying to play a couple days now on main hives. And I'm sure you know how that ends. I actually met a hacker who teleported me, somehow deleted all my gear and left me there with broken legs. :| So I crawl to get some zombies to eat me, I'm happy because this means I can go back to my camp to gear up. After an hours worth of walking I find all my tents destroyed haha. I always try to give main hives a chance but it always ends ugly. I've been playing private hives but the downfall to that right now is the drama. "omg u stole my vehicle that i left unattended in the forest, i will hunt ur asz down with my clan noob" For those of you still kicking it in regular hive servers, how do you do it?

Same here, but I always try to give them a chance. I notice there's still quite a few players who play on main hives. I just want to know how they do it. I always hop on my own main hive server. We usually get 5-20 players so its a small population. Sure there's no hacking, but it gets kind of boring without all the activity. of a 30-50 player gangbangfest.

If you want to fix KoS, the only way to do it on a sandbox game like DayZ is to increase PvE threats. Stronger zombies, different types, boss zombies, etc. If the players realize zombies are actually threatening they'll realize they need to cooperate. Simple as that. Make it more rewarding too, perhaps a zombie kill leaderboard? Or how about a leaderboard that tracks your actual playtime by hours to compete against other players? Don't make a party system, a system like this is simply out of character for DayZ. DayZ is such an amazing game because of how much it doesn't tell you what to do. DayZ puts the game in YOUR hands and its up to you(and your buddies) to see how it turns out. A party system would just be a crutch for you to rely on.

Am I the only one this bothers? Why do Zombies run in the exact same manner as Survivors do? Some hop, which is fine. Some walk like a zombie, which is great. But when it comes to running, they run just like us. Don't get me wrong this thread is not about running zombies, it is about the running zombie animation. I think Zombies should run in a more... ZOMBIE-like matter? Perhaps running towards you with their arms flailing at you, or stumbling around and stuff.

@A_Zombie Well, the new animation wouldn't have any affect of the Zombie's speed or anything else. It would just change for cosmetic purposes. Perhaps Zombies will be more of a challenge with a new running animation- because they're head will be bobbing around more while they run. It's too easy headshotting a running zombie. @Fraggle Sweet. :)

If I'm alone I get really social to try to find a buddy or something to adventure with. After that I become real cautious for me (and my newly found pal). When we come across others I observe, let them do their thing and leave. If they have something I REALLY want (Coyote backpack!!!) I *might* try to kill or hold them at gunpoint. I really enjoy the social interactions this game produces and I honestly think the social part is what made this game in the first place. I feel like we've kind of lost that value. I used to be extremely attached to this game as far as worrying about dying, being scared and such. Now that really doesn't happen anymore, I don't know if its the community changing.. or I'm just getting better? :P 2 strict rules I follow: 1) Never kill a newspawn.. what's the point 2) Don't kill an unarmed.. again what's the point

*This is a suggestion that should take place only after duping is fixed. If its possible; all 50cal sniper rifles should be deleted from every piece of data in the main hive. 50cal loot spawns from heli crashes will be reduced to 1-2 per map. Why? I really like these guns. They were a lot of fun to come across in the earlier days of DayZ, there were times I didn't mind getting killed by them because it was such a rarity. My heart used to pound everytime I'd try to take a shot with my first as50, because I didn't want to lose it. But now I know I can just search around for tents to find a bunch of them, or maybe a generous scripter will give me one. It just ruins the excitement now. Why restrict spawns? Because they're way too damn common.. I found a total of 6 Heli crashes today. I have: 2 M107s, 3 AS50s, and 2 L85s. What's really wrong with this picture? One of the crashes I found had TWO AS50s and 1 L85! Ridiculous. This isn't even my first day looting heli crashes mind you, I've collected so many of these "rare" guns its no wonder there not so common anymore. Don't even get me started on how much 50cal/STANAG rounds I have now..

the player name was: by dima_S He teleported to our SUV. I tried running him over but he obviously had godmode on. He shot all of us, the players killed were Shuya, Opti and Mode. This happened just minutes before this post. I'm trying to get the teamspeak info for the server but I can't get back in.. =_=

Well it was taken care of so all is well.

Why not just do it in actual Arma 2? Don't have to worry about taking forever getting to the fight zone.. also no zombies for deathmatching fun :D

I think this community has an extremely skewed definition of the word 'qqing'. Or were all too badass and masculine because we play DayZ- the manliest game ever since Superman 64.

I shot all the vehicles where the hacker spawned them.. they don't blow up they just disappear. I restarted the server and the vehicles went back to the hacker spot. I shot them with as50 rounds.

How can I detect people who use godmode/teleporting/other things? I look in my scripts.log and I can't find anything incriminating.. nor do I really know what incriminating is. I've used the cheat scanner and everything. I've checked create vehicles and nothing. I'm getting reports of someone teleporting and shooting everyone.
