I just left my backpack by a tree while I nipped in to a nearby settlement to raid the grocery store. I return and it seems to have magically dissapeared. I looked at it after I dropped it and it was there, but now I can't find it! Do backpacks just disappear after such a short time (15mins max and no server reboots)

I don't get what is happening. Sometimes, my favourite servers are running perfectly, but others when Iog on it's laggy (even though I have a low ping) and I have incredibly low FPS. Why is this? I'm running the same OA and Dayz versions as the servers. :S

My skin is the same, even after logging in.

Spawned a fresh character and within 2 mins of running down the beach I found a tent with an AS50 a FAL and loads of other goodies...just off the beach in a cluster of trees. Picked what I wanted, saved and ran on. I then changed my mind about my choice of gear and I went back to find the tents had gone. Strange.

So, just started playing this game, though I've heard it's full of hackers. What's been your experience the last few weeks?

Hey, I've been playing for a week and I gotta say it's pretty lonesome out there. I also get killed on site by pretty much everyone I've met except for some nice American kid that took pitty on me:S I play mostly Monday and Tuesday daytime, and play occasional evenings and weekends too. Can't commit to fixed playtimes unfortunately Looking for one or two players to pair up with. Reply here or send a message if you're interested :) Mature players only please!
