Yup Namalsk without bloodsuckers is like DayZ without zombies!but this is the times we live in the current generation of dayz players don't want a challenge they want everything handed to them on a plate. They want easy mode dayz with a magical crosshair in the middle of their screens so they can fire like rambo from the hip. They can't play without their 3dp exploit that allows them to see around corners and over walls there hiding behind or give them a 360 degree view when there in a vehicle. They don't want tin cans in the game because it breaks THEIR immersion! :rolleyes: OP Cherno,Stary Sobor and Northwest Airfield will give you everything you need plus some if you survive B) -
That still would not stop a group taking over the NWA as our group has done on numberous occasions and just camp all the buildings.Xianyu has brought up a great point that I can't see any fix for other than private hives. I'd love to see it fixed as it was a major problem with pub hives and still is.

Is there any reason to not use the hatchet?

Couldent agree more, you don't need a gun or hatchet for zombies just sit at a tree and wait or run down a hill and watch them leap to their deaths, zombies atm are a joke and quite frankly a doorway or tree trunk is more dangerous.Add to that the fact that they are the only hatchets in existance that I know of that you need to reload. If it was not for needing wood for fires the hatchet would be as useful as the crowbar. -
Considering we have already removed them from the game on ours servers, I'm all for removing them and leveling the playing field. It also ADDS tons to the immersion of the game not having a magical cross in the middle of the screen when your not aiming down your sights or scope. The fact that it also makes esp/hacks much more difficult makes it a win win and I can't really see a reason not to remove it entirely. :thumbsup:

I can only backup what novo is saying. I reset players chars all the time, but I don't need an ingame tool for it. I update the database with one sql query job done, player logs back in and all is fine.If we get hacked we bring the server down and restore the db (we take backups every 10 mins) again no in game tools needed. If your serious about keeping your server running ligit then remove these tools from the admins as they really don't need them. -
In that case we better get rid of the Zombies!Last time I checked they did not exist. :o If its a "realistic game" get rid of em isent that what your saying????

Speak for yourself! I and my community want the AS50,M107,KSVK,AA12 or any other guns thats in Arma2/3. Your point is invalid! You got that right and I'd also add those whining about 50 Cals!Seriously you've got about 300 or so whiners here and about the same on reddit that constantly whine about 50 Cals, meanwhile the rest of the 1.8million players are having a blast with the 50's, before them it was thermals and look what happend there! 300+ votes decided for 1.5million as it was at the time of the vote.

Like we have now, with weapons getting removed from the game, items getting removed.Come to our server OP if you want old DayZ we have not pandered to a couple of 100 whiners and removed anything from the game it's as ROCKET LEFT IT. You'll get AS50's,M107's,L85AWS's there all there as Rocket intended. As for zombies the last community update sorted them out too, to the point there useless and are easier than ever. -

The SA will support private hives so they can deal with duping as they do now and wipe their db's as and when they want. If your still on public hives then there's not much you can do but put up with it. Your solution would only piss off those who have not duped. Why should I have all my gear wiped because some kid decided to exploit a bug in the game that should not be there in the first place. A better solution is for the dev team to fix the duping issue and not wipe innocent peoples accounts. -
Having pre-defined bases is a bad idea. Bases should be able to be built anywhere otherwise all you will get is people waiting till the owners of the base go offline then just move in and rape it. People will soon get fed up of that shit and just not bother with bases

Add thermal weapons/scopes. Add more russian 50cals to the existing british and american ones, it's supposed to be a soviet block country after all. Add more high powered assault rifles Add more high powered sub-machine guns Remove the crossbow! nobody uses a bloody crossbow only people in competitions. Remove the crowbar - its useless or give admins the ability to add/remove all the above like Sumrak has done on Namalsk with different loot tables, i.e all weapons, noEr7 or noSnipers. Then everybody is happy. -

Way to go throwing insults at people with different opinions than you!Why shouldent they be in DayZ the Developer of the Mod put them in you know Rocket. Who the hell are you to say they shouldent be in the game mr nobody? When your done throwing insults around just take yourself back to the BF3/Battlelog forums where you can revel in no 50cals with all the other cool dudz. Well then lets remove all the Non russian weapons not just the sniper rifles if your serious! -

You'd be surprised just how many do connect from russia and kazakhstan and even further regions. To be fair we don't see script kiddies from the UK that often, they do exist but not nearly to the extent as the two regions I mentioned above. -

Yes you end up banning other people but look at it this way our server is in the UK these scrubs are coming from russia and kazakhstan and while it is unfortunate for the other people on the same range I'm not that bothered about people from russia or kazakhstan not being able to get on tbh. Theres enough ligit UK,US and European players to not have to worry about a few 100 of that scrubs fellow country men.At the end of the day the largest group of scripters and griefers on OUR server come from those two regions and I'll happly ban every god damn range if I have to, to protect our genuine playerbase. -

The bottom line is get used to the KOS mentality it's not going to change in the SA and I don't know why some around here think it will be different. Rocket and the team can put various shit in to expand the survival aspects but at the end of the day he can't do shit about the players. I know for one if I see somebody in the SA with a gun before they see me there dead. I won't be asking them if there friendly I'll KOS and steal there gear. Just because it's the SA won't change that. -

Having bought Arma3 I'm loving it. And tbh I don't want to see DayZ ported over. The SA is coming and that purchase is dependent on Rocket sticking to his original idea and providing he does not remove weapons or make it easier just to please a few teenagers who are not willing to learn I'll get it, however if I see the same shit that has went on in the mod with weapons being removed then I'll stick with Arma3. The current state of the mod is a mess, the community is split all over the place and I've completely stopped playing because of the updates. -
You know what it wouldent be very cool at all. The SA will be coming to satisfy your zombie fixation. Quite frankly I'm enjoying the freedom of Arma 3 and honestly can't see myself going back to Arma2 mod included. The last round of updates has fucked up our server population and I just can't be bothered with all these stupid unwanted updates that ignored the biggest bugs in the game and just remove wepons(pandering to n00bs) or add stuff that causes a shitstorm(and backtracking on it).The community devs/updates are killing the mod. Long live Arma 3 and the BI devs :thumbsup:

The banning for crashing the helo was due to DayZ Anti-Hax being a bit over zealous. Was fun at the start seeing our guys get banned for crashing the helo but get's old very quick when you have to unban people for false positives. :)Glad your enjoying the server. -

How would you know what somebody would carry around with them in a real apocalypse? Have you been in one????Cause you know if I came accross a 50Cal sniper rifle in an apocalypse I'd grab it and protect it with my life. I'm not going to go oh thats overpowered I'm not going to take it, lol that even sounds retarded. Only an idiot would assume nobody would carry 50Cals if they could get them! -

Nice post and well tought out. Currently the KSVK spawns on Namalsk. Not sure about the other maps as I havent played them in months only Namalsk. The AS50 is ultra rare as it is. Took me over 6mths to find one on our Namalsk server.
