Colossus (DayZ)

okay so after redownloading everything its working good now. My problems must have come from running Arma II : Operation Arrowhead and trying to connect that way the first time instead of running Arma II : Combined Operations and trying to connect. Must have corrupted some files doing this so for anyone who does this make sure just because you're close to the end of the installation instructions that you don't try to fly through it and what not, its what I did and didnt notice that I had to load from Combined Operations. so it had nothing to do with the issues the people in here tried helping me with thanks for the no help i guess.

well I tried again and only on servers with the names having 1.5.8.2 as their current version, still no dice. it connects to the server, i load the screen that says Multiplayer Setup, I click OK, it shows a screen with a loading bar and a military base with tanks n humvees in it, that loading bar goes to 90%, freezes, and kicks me back to server selection every time, I dont get the error "no entry: "bin\config.bin/CfgMagazines.PartWoodPile" anymore but i still get the "waiting for character to create" in faded text amongst the server list Edit: tried connecting to another server after it kicked me from the previous one, this time the screen with the loading bar flashed for a second and then went back to the Multiplayer Setup screen with a load bar titled "Receiving Data" it appears to load to the end of the bar, freezes and now ive got the error "no entry: bin\config.bin/Weapons.cfg" i believe for as i was typing this the error disappeared and shot me back to the server selection screen again. I've attempted to reconnect to the same server as well as other servers now, it follows the same setup without giving me the error

no i didnt realize there's an update, clicking ok brings be back to server selection. i forgot my pc specs, dunno if its going to help but intel i5 2500+ radeon hd 6970 16gb ddr3 ram win7 home professional 64bit Also when I am returned to the server selection screen in faded white text it says waiting for character to create is this because im running the up to date version and the servers are running older versions?

I load the game just fine via Arma II : Operation Arrowhead, selecting Arma II : Combined Operations, when I go into multiplayer and add the filter for dayz and select any given server it begins to connect.. however it stops at about 90% through the connection bar for a long time and I get the following error : no entry: "bin\config.bin/CfgMagazines.PartWoodPile" I have done a search for "cfgmagazines.partwoodpile" and found nothing on the subject
