Get rid of the fucking third person. Jesus christ all these videos on youtube where all people are using third person to ambush people then thinking they did a good job makes me fucking cringe. Got motion sickness? Too bad, the majority should not cater to the minority. -

Get rid of all the sniper rifles

Im the main sniper in our squad, and i would actually like to try this. Just for a period of time, similar to spawning without guns. Killing a player from 1000m with 1 shot is fine and all but i wouldnt mind some close action. Right now the absolutely best loadout in Dayz is L85 for spotting/close quarters, AS50/M107 for long range and M9 SD for zombies. Some long lasting firefights would be actually pretty awesome, instead of making the fight last 20 seconds because you dropped 3-4 guys withing 20 seconds. This should be added AFTER alt+f4 and server hopping is fixed though. -
I play on no 3p no crosshair no nameplate server only.

You know i meant adjustable zeroing. 1-2 shot dead to the chest. And with its firerate and low recoil it really sounds like an advantage to me. Sneaking up on someone is irrelevant. A fresh survivor with a makarov could sneak up on a ghillied player with AS50, NVG, Rangefinder and so on.

No zeroing means firing away. And with a 20 round magazine its no problem. 5 round magazine still forces a player to carefully fire. The DMR is very common if you know where to look.

I have found so many on crash sites, barracks and players its crazy..

The DMR is way too common and has a way too good semi auto fire rate. You can even use it as a close combat rifle and shoot as fast as you can click the mouse button. It can be use as both a sniper rifle and a close combat weapon because of the fire rate and magazine size. Plus you can find ammo for it almost everywhere. My suggestion would be to reduce the spawnrate and/or reduce rate of fire. Maybe make the M24 more common than the DMR? The M24 is bolt action, meaning it has a low rate of fire and forces the player to get a range and carefully plan his shots, instead of just blasting away with a DMR.
