I only prefer manual cause I've been doing it since release but DayZ Commander seems to be the bees knees of easy installation of DayZ.

Editor is the best way, I learned how to in that playing OFP over 10yrs ago.

Would like to see the video but I think they disabled those dots and the thermal so if it's recent maybe it was a hack you saw.

Yep be sure to try different servers, some that don't reboot after a long time it doesn't matter how good your computer is you'll lag till they reboot.
