yup. the flashing triangles of death. Used to have it fairly regular. Causes CTD. Then 2 weeks ago it did it, crashed, then when I reloaded i got the message about the 'incorrect server side application'. Haven't been able to play for 2 weeks. woe is me.

and me, DayZ is dead.

Don't bother reinstalling. Mine is still the same. Reinstalled various times, in various ways. I've also tried a new character and thats still the same, so I wonder whether a character reset will work. Good luck.

i'm having the same trouble, for the last 2 weeks. I've created a new character and it's still the same , so I doubt a character reset will do anything. I've cleaned arma2 off my pc then reinstalled, with and without six, messed about in my router and loads of other stuff, to no avail. I was playing away normally for a week or so. Got a CTD one time, and when I reloaded thats when i got the message, on every server, from then til now. Nightmare. If I get mine working I promise to post my solution. Good luck.

Hi Thought I'd better respond to this. I've been having the same problem for over a week and a half, playing on other servers though. Any server i go to usually ends up with this message, if not it just hangs at 'loading'. You say port 2302 should be open. I read i was port 3306. I will open 2302 and see if there is any change. To save you doing it, i've rolled back patches, reinstalled Arma2 twice, installed with/without six updater, stood on my head in a corner whilst it loads, and still no change. It was playing fine for a week, i was on uk12 CampDayZ.com when it crashed. I loaded back up and that was it, no DayZ for me. I had trouble installing PFPortChecker last night too. Just keep downloading and trying. I got it on the fourth download. well worth it. Make sure your IP is set to static too. Theres a really easy program on the PFP site that does this.
