@ anthonydddd1 shit, i never thought about that. I was just so angry for being ignored. I had the best intentions though. Well.. before he ignored me, i mean. But yeah, deaf or VON=0 and he might not have heard me.

not a very exciting story, but.. actually kinda annoying and embarrasing. Yesterday I was near the militairy medical tents of balota. I looted the Deerstands over there. And wanted to leave. I was just outside the area of the tents, and i saw a fresh spawn. He had nothing, I had an m16. bwhoaaha ;) . Anyway, I had no intention to kill 'm or hurt 'm. I wanted to help 'm. He also went to the medical tents and wanted to loot the deerstands as well. I knew that nothing was there, except for some mags. and other crap. I said "he dude, need some help?". He did not responded. I killed some zombies for him. He was on one of the deerstands and wanted to come down. Some zeds where standing below it, so i killed them for him as well. Now, really I still had no intention to kill 'm. Amnyway, I said "he dude, can you do me a favor?" (since i needed a transfusion and had 2 bloodbags on me). And he ignored me again! and continued his looting and wanted to go to the next deerstand. This made me so angry that I aimed and just shot this unarmed man in the back. I heard his bones crack on the first 2 shots. And it felt pretty good. "suck on that then" i said. And i left him there with his broken bones and bleeding. Not really fair. But he could at least have said something. Even If he would have said that he didn't want to help me it would be okay for me. But the fact that he just kept ignoring me, turned me into an asshole. Little borthersome though was the fact that i liked it when i heard the crack of his bones. Yeah, "suck on that". But he could at least responded or something, right?

I see it like this. Hopefully in december we will see the final comming out. More or less the game with the features we have now, and perhaps a bit more. Hopefully without the scriptkiddies ruining everything. It's the basic, but the possibilities are huge. It's like a series of numbers. Add a number to a series of 4, and you suddenly have far more combinations. The same goes for this game. Add a feature to this game, like building your own base, weapons, etc. and the game will become far more interesting. Right now, once you have it all, it becomes boring to just survive. Because it's too easy. So, atm, I play on fun servers with extra vehicles, 24 daylight, lot's of players, and I don't really play to survive. Sometimes i know i gonna do suicide missions. I think I'm not alone with that playing style. Hopefully this will change with the final. Trying to survive as long as possible. Set a goal, and try to achieve it. ( like building a nice base and vehicles). But we will see. I just hope they keep the game authentic.

PDR Server |Friendly Chernarus Private Hive, Custom Vehicles, Whitelisted, Hacker Free.
JackWalsh replied to ripsaw's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Yeah I miss PDR server to. I think the server owner trusted the wrong people (Guys like Opticz and his bunch of loser friends who replied with a smiley above), since I think it is an inside job. Hope they start from scratch and get it running again. -
How to salvage the Czeck Vest Pouch
JackWalsh replied to Bearded McGee's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I really think that the pouch is fine as it is. It's not useless for everyone. It's really the only backpack I want. Let me explain. I am a solo player, I am strong, I need no one, I walk alone. ;) . I try to stay as low profile as possible ( I go into a city, get my stuff and get the hell out of there asap) , because i wanna survive for long, plus I am not a killer. Anyway for a solo player, that does NOT want to have 2 primairy weapons, the pouch is just perfect. Surviving is far too easy in DayZ. Because there is too much spawn of items, and with an alicepack it is super boring. Because you carry all the shit you want. 3 mophine injectors, plenty of food and ammo, and then what??? Stare for hours at the sun?? Agaian, i haver no interest in hunting for survivors. Yesterday i was a bit stupid and fell of a stair in a barn. I thought I died,,but i didn't luckily. And i had to use my main morphine auto injector, painkillers and eat all the meat i had. (I always try to have a main and spare auto morphine injector, and i don't have enough storage for more, thanks to the small pouch) Now, this situation created several missions for me. I had to go to the city and get me new medical supplies. I had to hunt for serveral animals to get my blood up again. Another thing is that the pouch is smaller then the coyote, plus it has cammo. I think io am not alone with this. If your into action, and play with team mates, and want high end weapons and carry a lot of stuff, just leave the pouch. Get your alice pack. If you are like me, playing alone, and want to hunt for food and other stuff all the time, the lack of storage will create some action, take the pouch. -
Increase survival aspect Of DayZ, increase scarcity of food
JackWalsh posted a topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Currently surviving DayZ is much too easy. Players also get bored and start sniping for fun ( now, this adds to realism, you will always have these ppl irl to, but not in these proportion, also those ppl mostly have all the end stuff). Those players don't have to prepare themselves, or do any effort, since food and drinks are easy to find. What I mean is, walk into a house, barn, whatever, and you find foodcans and drinks easily. I would suggest to make foodcans and coke/pepsi extremely rare in all buildings except for the supermarkets/cafe/hotel. I think this really adds to realism. Let new players spawn at the coast with a knife, matches, a full waterbottle and 1 can of food. (this will buy them some time) This way, you will see more players go to lakes, waterpumps to fill their bottles. Players really have to hunt, and cook meat or take the high risk to go to a supermarket (since that will be a hotspot now). Players are more occupied with the survival aspect, plus have to prepare more for a mission. It's more like a low level hunger games to increase the survival aspect. Plus, and this is the major benefit, since food and water should be replenished continuesly, there is alway work, fear, and activity for all kinds of players What do you think about this? -
Increase survival aspect Of DayZ, increase scarcity of food
JackWalsh replied to JackWalsh's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I just realized that my topic has lots of elements of the idea to make DayZ a living hell here : http://dayzmod.com/f...-a-living-hell/ I really think that making foodcans and soda cans extremely scarcely adds to the survival part of this game. The problem for solo players, especially the non-killers, is that once they have they stuff (watch, map, hunting knife, matches, weapons etc) there is nothing much to do. surviving is just easy foodcans and soda everywhere. If those players can't get those items so easily, they have to find them. find a water source. Hunt for food. For teams it means that they actively have to hunt or search for food, and defend their source of water. It will keep them busy ;) Plus people need that water source, so they will be attacked or people will try to sneak in their perimeter to get that water. Snipers cannot just sit for hours on a hill, they have to be prepared. because once they run out of water and food, they have to expose themselves again. Plus, and this is the major benefit, since food and water should be replenished continuesly, there is alway work, fear, and activity for all kinds of players -
@ osirish You could try to find a private passworded DayZ server (there are quite some). Or rent/setup a server with a couple of serious players in the same continent (just a few euro/dollars each). That way cheaters can't enter that world . Start a post here or in a gaming forum and try to find some that would like to rent a private server together. If you're from england, i might even join, since I'm from europe ;) You could even aggree to a green zone. I've seen a couple of private servers that have that. like a little part in the south near the coast. where is aggreed not to shoot each other. And, in your post you already mentioned the reason (nl: they don't care) why you shouldn't ruin your fun in gaming by them. they're bugs in the system, and should be threated like that. As a bug. It's not your mistake that you died by the cheater in the game. It's a bug.

Hi thane, I've read your story, and really wanted to give you some advise here. Listen mate you should really change your attitude and get out of the victem role. I only encountered 2 hackers. The first time it was a "nice"hacker. i just spawned at the coast. I saw this guy. He asked me if i needed anything. I replied with "no thanks". Suddenly I was wearing a gilly and had all the high end stuff. He spawned an helicopter, and asked me if i wanted to join him (he spoke the same language as i did, same country) I put off all the gear, backpack and gilly. And said "no", and just left him there with his helicopter. And continued with the game how i play it. The decent way. Second time i had put a lot of effort in my character. took a lot of risk at the airport., had all kinds of experiences with it. Then a hacker killed everyone on the server. First i thought, "damn what's going on?" and then i realized it was a hacker. I just thought fuck 'm, i''ll just start over", and thought of the possitive side. Starting all fresh, and try to get good gear and life back. You must realize that those hackers are just poor guys without any spine. They aren't happy with their life. They just seek something to bypass the effort they should put into the game to really accomplish something in a game. They cannot accomplish those things without hacking. That's why you have to ignore them. If it happens, ignore them and move on. That's how I did it, and it worked well. Now i can imagine that if it happens every day you cannot ignore that. and just try another game. But this has not been the case for me. Now, I'm not one of the youngsters. I'm 39, and i'm a busdriver in the shitty. Every day the same shit. But i like my games. Mostly Pro evolution soccer, and DayZ. That's what keeps me sane. Having some fun in a shitty life. ;) (besides vacation and walking in the mountains during weekend) Something to look forward to. Don't let those losers ruin that. These are spineless assholes, just like the one's you encounter in real life. The're everywhere. JUST IGNORE THEM! AND PLAY ON! (edit: just to let you know. I do take the game seriously. I put many hours in it. I play like i would act in real life. I never kill anyone just for the points. I just try to survive as long as possible, But, i will never let those cheaters ruine my fun in gaming)

Right. This would be a great change. Animals should be aware of your presence. They should be afraid of you and run away. Perhaps make noise while doing so.
