Try this DayZ mod - http://survivedayz.com/. Duping is fixed (all of it), no AS50 or L85 available, no NVG, power grid lighting is on during the night around the villages and cities. Due to these fixes the only two existing servers are constantly full with players although it is though to survive with so many players running around. -

http://survivedayz.com/forums/forum.php This is the best DayZ private hive mod around - check it out. It is awesome - ALL sort of cheating/duping/hacking options are removed already and many improvements to the original game introduced. Requires separate mod installation though. I love it. -
Hi, I am not "search engine challenged" person but I couldn't find the above said link. Can anyone help? Just in some of the new versions of DayZ mod we have more weapons introduced (fortunately heavy snipers removed :P) and I want to make educated decision if I come across something I haven't seen in DayZ so far. Be careful with the new Steam account - definitely you have to buy a new key but you will be banned again with the new key if you do not edit some Steam registry - I do not remember. There is some info available in this forum. -
Do not be silly telling city legends - god mod sets the damage to the player to '0' - head shot, dick shot, whatever. Check the DayZ community ban list and you'll see many examples of this script. If not - then go to youtube and see all videos when a zombie skin player with hatchet teleports and chase players who is desperately trying to shot him.

Well, there was something odd with the rare spawn. I play DayZ for 2.5 months now and I never have found SVD apart from one player I managed to kill. Yesterday, on UK SDayZ server there was a DMR in Stary and a SVD at NW airfield (fire station). I think that server didn't restart between the occasions but not quite sure. -

Very bad bro, indeed. A clan member had exactly the same experience - he used ***, got banned, "removed" the hack, purchased new ArmA2 from newly installed Steam, etc. - and guess what - he got banned again the minute he logged with the "new" installation. So... he had to purchase 3rd copy of ArmA2 but before installation he wiped his computer and re-installed Windows. Your problem is that the hack is still there or Steam is just a crappy program. On your own risk you can buy ArmA2 from a non-Steam vendor and try again. You can also look more carefully in to removing the hack instead of the wipe. -

In a week or so both DaZR and SDayZ will have nearly over-crowded servers (actually there will be just 4 available worldwide or so for all eager players). So people - we have to boost donations right? -

Hey Stapo - again - thank you for the great work. I enjoy this mod for 3 days now. One question: Is there a link I can see the damage/range of the newly added weapons? Have you changed ArmA defaults although I couldn't find them either? :) -
Losing blood, not bleeding?

You have infection my friend. Does you character cough from time to time? You could hear this and there is some body shake as well. You'll lose blood down to 6000 - you can regain blood but you'll start losing again. This is very unfortunate situation. You have to find Antibiotics - only in hospitals - looks like a smaller version of the Painkiller box - white with blue or red stripes. Something like this. -
LOL - I am even lazy to flame this post at the rate it deserves to be flamed. What boy? What do you suggest? What a great idea to move all these MILLIONS of hacked and duplicated items in the standalone? Uh? Yeah...you should start immediately to stack another 10 tents with AS50s, DMRs, Ghillies, ext. However, you have forgotten vehicles! What about them? and the Helis! YES! Move everything that ruined DayZ game experience to the point to have 50K active players in the past 24H instead of 600K just 2 months ago.

I agree - I played last night and this morning and the amount of zombies is huge. Deer stand - I guess that the intended with SDZ amount of zombies there is 15 but they can't spawn at once. They spawn 5-6 at a time and they remain stuck under the stand. Well I said - cool - I'll shoot them. Shot two spawns and realized that there is no point (ammo) to proceed with the 3rd spawn - also bugged under the stand. I had to kite them around, etc. In a small villages it is nearly impossible to reach buildings without being chased badly although you crawl/roll all the time from the outskirts of the place in. There is no point to go to a small places anymore - better head to the big cities and visit the shops - the boxes which spawn there are awesome. I would suggest 30% further zombies headcount cut - would be a good balance. Otherwise - congratulations and commends for the team - really GREAT job. They have resolved almost all issue I had with original DayZ game I am hooked with now. -

Hey - you are doing great - some of these changes are demanded a lot since months by the community - especially the NVG/L85 and bad ass snipers removal. One question - I didn't see that you have resolved a problem you should be able to - items duping? What about auto-saving tents/vehicles each time server stops/starts or restarts? Would be enough to make sure that players do not have infinite supply of whatever they have saved in a tent? -
1. There are many things in this game a new joiner would consider bugs. Very often you get a broken bone in very unexpected situations or you can drop from a building roof, die in a car accident hitting very minor object on the road, etc. However, this is part of the fun and difficulty level of the game. 2. Zombies are attracted by the noise your gun makes (it is very noisy one indeed). They also respawn after a while. No point to shoot zombies tough and without urgent need - keep your ammo for players. 3. Hacking is common and until Standalone comes out. Only relatively hackers-free servers are private hive servers. There are still hackers but the server can be rolled back after hacker is banned and everyone gets in the "Time machine" - everything is restored to the status of 10 min. or so ago. 5. Empty bottles can't be filled. You have to find the green thingy - not sure how it is called in English (canteen or so or this is "field bottle"?). Then you go in the lake (water up to your chest/right click on the item in inventory) or next to a well, etc. 6. Blood is gained by eating food (stakes gives max of it - 800) or you can instantly reach 12000 if you find someone to give you blood transfusion. Blood backs are available in the hospitals - after you break the windows with your hatchet.

Remove both. Whoever likes them - please go play ArmA or else. DayZ should be with very basic weapons in order to have really unique experience and difficult PvP battles. I would even remove snipers - a way too much OP weapon for the nature of the game and maps.

Move to private hive in order to get rid of "Star Trek" style materializing god-mod hackers in front of you.

We need some visual system (blue/red/grey strips on your hip for instance) in order to distinguish friendly players (your own clan for example) from "neutrals" or hostile players. This would be extremely useful in many sort of occasions or later when a certain levels of access would be required for clan items/resources. Such "set standings" system is not easy to develop quickly but you can start with some easy to handle player by player set standings system which any player can access and add friendlies he'll see with blue stripes on the hip. The ultimate goal later would be to have actual clans in the game and these standings to be set on "clan" level. You know what I mean devs - like in EVE Online.
