Gamma up settings work only if there are no clouds. Indoors or in the forest no gamma saves you. Fair enough to me. -
Last 3 days - 3 random selected servers every evening - me and my friends lasted for maximum 3-4 min. after we spawned. Always some fuker teleports and kills us all. Today for instance a truck spawned next to us and 2 russian idiots with golden AKs and invulnerability shields killed all of us. Then they killed us few more times on the coast after fresh respawn. Again telleporting together with the truck. Fukers. I have a question (regardless standalone version which will come no one knows when) - since Battleye is a joke - is it so difficult to release quickly DayZ "tuned" ArmA version? The only two things I would dream of is to disable server side teleport and players invulnerability in this release. I do not care for the rest of the hacks - I can live with them. Let the idiots have cars, AS50-ies, crap - I can deal with. ArmA license holding comapny made OVER 20 MILLION dollars in the past 6-7 months! They should be pretty much capable of spending a week - not more! - to make a release where teleporting and player damage->false just do not exist! I hope someone from developers read this forum......

Exactly - if they make the same cheaters friendly crap "standalone" - no one will play....and in few months or in 1 year someone else will come up with copy/paste zombie or whatever collect/shoot/survive game written on a solid platform and will make the next bestseller. Actually the biggest winner right now is ArmA license holding company - they just made over 20 mil dollars in the past 6 months. If I knew what a game-breaking experience is hacking in DayZ ... I would have had never made them richer with my 25 bucks - never!

Hacker killing entire server or teleporting behind you is the only game-breaking shit at the moment. I prefer buggy alpha standalone with doors braking bones than the experience I had last night with a hacker. -

I am afraid that this is not a bug but a hacker teleporting players and killing them just for fun. It had happened to me immediately after login and to a friend of mine while he has been running across the map minding his own business. I haven't seen more hackers friendly game than DayZ regardless beta/alpha/stable stage - unbelievable. -
Yesterday I ran into a guy looting some gili corpse. No much time to think you know - we both started shooting each other, however I was faster and I killed him. I took just one shot - screen blurred/black&white and for few seconds I couldn't see much and I got trauma - you know this symbol looking like electrified plug/socket (not the broken bone one). I was in camo suit. After I checked corpses I discovered that I haven't lost any blood - none! The other discovery was that probably I took SVD shot. OMG - how this could be possible? Another option is that the guy shot me with pistol - but still - no blood drop? or bullet missed me but still "supressed" me with trauma? or camo suit has some body armor absorbing one shot? or it was just lag/bug? What do you think?

Quick question: I have rented a server (virtual machine) hosted by multiplay.co.uk. Each time server restarts for various reasons (like "too much memory used for one player", etc) we lose all tents and eventually a vehicle if we have managed to find and start to repare one. Is that normal? or the restart in general should wipe everything not stored in inventory or a backpack? If this is normal I have no point to look for vehicles or store things, etc. lol

Logout timer works very good in EVE - however, you do not have 60% of the players in EVE capable of "spawning" a titan in the space. This feature should be introduced only and after DayZ is at least 90% safe from hacking.

Whenever the final game version is released: The tents and vehicles HAVE to be wiped EVERY 5-7 days! The players should be able to keep only inventory and backpack items. If the developers really like to keep the game popularity they have to make impossible for a clan to sit on a pile of resources and occupy a server 24/7 without letting other players to login and conquer. I have played EVE a lot and there is common things in gameplay with one big difference - DayZ IS NOT single universe/server. In EVE 50-60000 players can login simultaneously and conquer resources. With DayZ thousands of servers it is very easy for a 100 players clan to occupy a server 24/7 and secure unlimited vehicles and guns. Meanwhile same idiots will "police" noob servers making brutal fun with regular players. The result will be - no new players grouth and a lot of borеd to death veterans.

Stacking items like crazy squirrel before winter is not the idea of this game. Have ever you been involved in EVE Online high politics managing large over 1000 member alliance? Probably not. The important thing to consider is that EVE is a SINGLE universe/server where 50-60 000 players can log simultaniously and conquer resources. In DayZ you have thousand of servers. Sitting on a pile of resources wouldn't make this game attractive - you will reach a point when a players clan would easily occupy a 100% of a server slots 24/7 making impossible for another clan to claim resources, etc. Same people will "police" (I hate this arrogant idiots) meanwhile other "noob" servers (with bus, cards and snipers) making fun and harrasing players. Do you want such "fun" in a few months? So in my oppinion - ALL ranked servers HAVE to restart every 5 days and NON-invetory/backpack items MUST BE LOST. -
Complete Inventory Wipe on Logoff

Date/Time: Aug 26, between 22:00 and 01:00 CET My ingame character: [Quit] Diakoona What happened: I logged out to fix the texture bug and when I was back my complete inventory was gone + bandages + the pistol mags. The backpack+the items in the backpack+kompass,watch,knife,etc. though and the gun I had was saved. Where you were: near the 2nd class road North from Berezino What you were doing: I was riding the bike, stopped by the road and logged out. *Current installed version: latest - I use PlayWithSIX *Server(s) you were on: DE 1840 *Your system specs: Very High Timeline of events before/after error: I was riding this bike all the way from Chernogorsk far North and then East - quite of a jurney.
