I just discovered that this is causing kicks. Is this a failed hack attempt? I am curious if DayZ uses it at all, and if I should ban players for it.

It's a better idea than another I've heard, such as banning players temporarily who server hop. Sometimes with the current servers you server hop without malicious intent, such as to find a daylight / nighttime server.

Instead of logging off in a "No-disconnect Zone" and having your character outright killed, it should respawn you at the coast or move you kilometers away. I like the idea though.

Had a bit of a problem when my host upgraded my package for the server, and some settings were changed like waypoints and crosshairs, and that has now been resolved.

The server went down sometime this morning, the problem is being resolved and the server will be restored very shortly.

NOTICE It appears that the DayZ server has gone down. This might be because of an upgrade taking place with our server host. If we are being upgraded right now, the server will receive a new IP and port. Please hang tight while we wait for further information.

Upon further consideration, I have decided to continue paying for hosting of US 1994 on a month-by-month basis, all depending on server traffic. If the server does not see an average of at least 5-10 players at any given time (which it currently has been seeing), the server will ultimately close forever. This was taken under much consideration knowing that many players still enjoy using US 1994 as their home server for camps, etc, and we will always provide notice on if the server will close. Thank you if you have played on our server, we appreciate it.

This is generally directed at faco, but if anyone else knows what these are they would be very helpful. Four seperate people were kicked for that in a matter minutes, so I'm not sure if they were all scripters or if they had been scripted on by someone else.

You've assumed correct, the logs indicated 45 tank traps were placed. Sorry for the inconvenience, unbanning you now.

US 1994 is still a true vanilla server with a recurring player base of around 10 people. Come join us and help increase that to 20 or even 30!
