  1. So, I'm trying to benchmark my game with scenario 1 (I just recently built this, so I want to see how hard I can push it), but due to DayZ, I can't get to singleplayer anymore. Do I REALLY have to uninstall DayZ, benchmark, and then redo it, or will launching it from steam help fix it? Or if I'm being an idiot and can launch it through SU under a separate preset, tell me how please. Thanks ~Medicus

  4. So, I can't change my password. Whenever I try, it returns saying that I have to completely fill the form, which I did for the password part. If I do the email change and the password change together, it only changes my email, not my password. I forgot my password and had to get a new one, and the email provided one is horrible to remember. Halp. Ps. I didn't know where to put this. If it's wrong, feel free to move it.

    You have to place it with the scroll wheel. Then operate it like a placed gun. You left click to get the distance and turn on the NV by pressing N when you're looking through it.

    while I'm here, any thoughts on the AMD Phenom II X4 970 Black Edition? I'm thinking of using it for my next build (hopefully in 2 or so weeks). That paired with a GeForce GTX560 video card. thanks guys

    I like and use this app a lot. It's amazing so i don't have to tab out all the time. However, do you think you could add a loot radar kinda like they do here? http://dayzmap.info/ I mean, it's helpful and makes looting a lot easier so you can see which buildings are ACTUALLY enterable.
  12. anyone else online had this issue? My friend and I were playing the update, and when we logged in, for some reason his character was invisible. He could see me, open my bag and everything, but I couldn't see him or hear him walking around. When he dropped things, I could pick them up. He shot a goat, I heard it and saw the animal drop. I can't do anything at all and we both need transfusions. We're both updated to the latest beta and DayZ version, so idk what's going on. If it matters at all, he was wearing a ghille suit. I didn't just "miss him though" because he did say that he was standing right in front of me, putting his gun into my eyes, and I couldn't see him at all.

    Rocket, I know it's more a limitation of the Arma2 engine, but is there ANY way we can make indoor movement easier? It looks like it takes into account the gun, which adds to your width, so you can't go in doors looking a direction. It'd be much appreciated if we could move more fluid inside for more realistic gameplay. Thanks again.
  15. So far so good. I haven't noticed any major problems aside from: *the hatchet trying to replace my primary *Zombies seem to still 1-hit bleed me all the time *I haven't gotten hit through walls as much, but when I stop moving, sometimes the z's stay in that place and just start swinging, even though I'm 10ft away. *The flashlight is finicky at best when it works. I usually have to aim at my feet to be able to turn it on/off when standing, and at the sky if I'm prone. *I keep getting kicked out by BattleEye (it's 5.16 I think) for random reasons. Donno if that's server or your hotfix, just figured I'd mention. *The sounds seem to be very up and down. There have been times I've fired an AK and gotten no response, but I've shot my m9 and gotten 4 z's from down the street. *speaking of guns, idk if you altered the damage tables, but I had to put a clip and a half of m1911 into a zombie to get it to go down. It seems to be really random when you actually one-shot a zombie or not. Now that that's out of the way: >Mfw this patched up and worked well I love the way the zombies work now. I really just wish their attraction to flare noise was greater, or at least had a pronounced affect. Right now, I haven't seen them paying much attention to it. HOLYJEEBUSFUCKINGGOOBYGODS I almost pissed my pants trying to survive for the first 30 minutes in the dark after I respawned from the debug plains. It was some scary shit crawling around, hearing zombies and not being able to turn on your flashlight because you don't want to attract them. Job well done, but looking back at it, it's making the learning curve for newbies almost vertical if they don't know what to do. A small suggestion would be to have the hatchet go back into the tools section, and make it a gear menu option. Also, how long do you think it'd take you to write a teleport code so that anyone that is stuck in the debug plains/forest/ocean can just enter that and get put back on land? I mean, you could make it a limit code where if we're 1 meter beyond X/Y negative and positive we can put that in and get sent back to the beach or something. I ran for two hours (I taped down my w key) and still never hit the map. And yes, I was going in the right direction. Just a thought is all.

    You know how you can see outside at night in real life? That's because you eye can see minuscule differences in light. Displays don't recreate that naturally, so tone mapping is the programming that forces the program to recreate it so you can see it on a monitor. *I THINK*

  20. Well, I donno what you changed about crawling...but i did notice the increase in visibility when you kneel run. Almost got myself killed when I tried to do it from tent to tent in Stary. Question is though, how do we hide from zombies? is is a LOS thing or just distance away?

    You just have to press L once to on/off it. Idk about anyone else, but I pretty much have to aim my torch at my feet to turn it on and off. Try that next time if you want.
  22. Just dump anything that doesn't belong in the game. If you can't do that, I'd think about just respawning and saving yourself from bricking your Arma2 key.

    Rocket, just go to sleep. This will all be here tomorrow once you wake up. Don't worry about it for now. At least if you give it some time you'll have more of an idea of what's wrong with the patch. Nothing you can do now when you can barely see straight code lines.

    Anyone else that was far in-land (I was at Stary Sobor) get spawned back on the beach with all their gear? I logged in, couldn't see shit, heard waves, and got the fuck out because I was laggy as shit.
