We call these bandits the Trolls...they are the guys who will run in and axe you when you have no weapon so you have a broken leg and then leave you, and all other bandits are just bandito's, someone who will shoot you on sight and be like gear gear gear gear gear vehicle? VEHICLE! and then they too will die to a troll and so on and so forth in a never ending cycle

I have to agree with the fire idea, I hate having every tool to get cooked meat..except the matches to start the fire. As for the fear idea..it would be a concept to look into, yeah people will complain about it being unfair and what not but its all about between finding the balance between the realism their after/still being a game. I reckon it could work with the sprinting and then going straight to prone animation, it slows you down but still gives you the time to get up and go again, you might suffer one hit but other than that its still a good idea.

Sucks they DC'd otherwise perfectly executed attack and movement and poor performance by the snipers, its a high powered rifle random shots at the bushes only shows you where they are, then DCing only proves how bad they are. Hope Trane managed to get some of his gear back if you found his body. My hat is off to you both.

At the moment I've found the only weapon you can hide is the hachet and a pistol, now in a sense yes that could very well happen, but thats why it should simply be put, unless you know them personally or have worked together before and trust them, you should NEVER take your eyes off of an unarmed person, if they follow you because they want to team up stay atleast a few feet away from them so they cant get a quick axe hit in and always be mindful of where they are and what their doing. Now as for if they find a gun or you think their hoarding heaps of food thats where it comes down to your moral choice. Do you think their gonna shoot you? if no, do you really want to risk that situation? if they find a gun you have to make the call, do I put my life on the line and trust them and if they kill me accept the fact that that was the choice I made...or do you kill them and not risk dying, knowing deep down you betrayed someone who could have truly been friendly and might of saved your arse in a later situation but it was for, in your mind, the greater good. It's a game after all, these are the decisions you have to face and have to deal with in this world. End of the day its the simple click of a button between you being a killer, or you being killed.

It usually is wise to start on a lower popped server and get some gear before moving across simply for the better chance of actually finding gear, however, in my tendancy I choose to pick a high popped server simply because I like to have the thrill that even if I spawn and someone kills me I atleast know I also have a chance to find gear and kill them in return. It all comes down to preference really, you can stock up on a low pop server and then head to a higher one and then repeat if you die, or, you can join a high pop server straight off the bat and even if you die you havent exactly lost anything seeing as how you just started.

If ya bump into someone whos unarmed, just let them pass, I know alot of people do kill them but it just seems low or dog to kill someone who cant defend themselves. Now if someone has an axe and comes running in your direction well then "he came right at me it was self defence that I put a 30 mag clip in him from my AKM"

Gotta agree, I had a few times in the same situation, I've trusted a guy who said friendly then shot me in the back with a shotgun. I've also had times where people come up and actually are friendly and want nothing more than to team up and survive because they have been in the exact same situation. Way I see it, even though its a game that you get really attached to, you have to think at the end of the day its them or you because deep down the guy next to you may be helping you now but the only thing stopping them from killing you is the same thing stopping you from killing them. The goal is to survive and in the end if you have to become a monster to survive, then you do what you have to do to survive.
