yeah loot only spawns for the persistent servers in the boats as far as I'm aware - worth looking for - over the last two days ive been shot at three times and gotten away in close vicinity to the shooters haha - might be time to get a bow and arrow again for my character...

between Kamenka and Cherno there are 22 boats if i remember right, takes about 15 mins to do the run but its the most together, the other place is Berezhki where there are 10 in close proximity to each other - within 50m

nope they're on stable now too, VERY hard to find, I haven't come across anyone else in one yet, so its either very few people have them or they're working so well i dont even notice haha, btw the server has to have persistence on!

yeah one netting - as in one item stack, the stack i found had 4 pieces in, full stack but there is only one per server per restart

well basically yeah, now I didn't kill him, wasn't even expecting that to happen at all, but I did message Shroomz after about it so he got to see it

I'm sure they'll do something to balance out the gillie at a later stage, makes no sense atm but it's a gillie suit in Dayz so I'm happy :) And the burlap wrap? You need to cut the sack into strips first, I think it's 2 burlap strips now to make it!

they found Vodka bottle models in 0.51 update files - so possibly molotovs could be on the way - we need more improvised weapons though!

Yupp - one piece of netting per server per restart - So if a server restarts 6 times then there will be 6 nettings on the server so long as no one has picked them up.. takes a while to get! but fun to go searching for it!

Yeah! he was agroed on the guy chasing me but still cool since he was so close! really really effective! Might take the ghillie suit apart tonight then and record how to put it together if you wanna see that, easy enough to make - just takes alot of searching for the pieces!

haha true - i ran the coast on three servers before i found some netting, funnily enough which was on a 50/50 server! still took a few hours to get but worth it! yeah i wouldn't say they'd fix it anytime soon since if they did I'm sure something else would break it later - but I actually like having the loot incredibly sparse, makes foraging and hunting better options!

Yeah i play the same, log in to interact with other players - even with the ghillie suit on, now i've been sneaking up on players and freaking them out :D Last night i logged in and saw two guys - so i followed them for a while talking to them in direct chat and they could not see me! Eventually, they seemed cool so i stood out and they just wanted to see what i looked like, since they had they're guns on they're back it seemed ok, next thing i know one takes his SKS off his back so i shoot him in the belly and run for it - bullets pinging around and I managed to escape - so cool! Definately changes the way the game is played - have to be more careful since people want to skin you and take your ghillie, fun though!

well its still a very early iteration of the truck atm, hopefully when repairing comes in we can have full presistence with it!

So cool :D yeah server hopping is one way (we all do it time to time, so no moaning!) i just joined a high pop russian server and found a stack of 4 of them - delighted! yeah, on the one hand its ridiculous but if it was easy then there wouldn't be the same sense of achievement & everyone would be walking around like chewbacca!

So basically i've been searching around the forums and I can't find anything for youtubers to come and show their channels, get subscribers or even set up collaborations, so I thought to myself why not start one! I've seen the thread for the twitch streams but nothing for youtube btw... So here's the idea, if you have a youtube channel, or are interested in collaborating with another youtuber, or even just want to find some new DayZ channels to watch, then in this thread will be links to different channels! To get your channel on here all you need to do is have a trailer or short vid, leave a comment on this thread with the video embedded and follow the topic! If we can get enough people on here then we can start collaborating with each other on video's, now my channel is quite small so I know that it can be tricky to get any notice, so here's hopefully a solution to that and I'm sure that there is many other people on here with the same thoughts! So basically, my character the Ghillie Archer, came across a gear who had military gear - i asked him to lower his weapon but unfortunately he wouldn't - he just kept running around asking me to come out so he can see what I look like - now he was geared - i'm talking helmet, vest, the works! So i had to use what I could, and fortunately enough the ghillie suit when sprayed makes you blend in so well with the terrain its near impossible to see you! Its a hard life when all people want to do is skin you and wear as a jumper :blush: Anywho, here's a short vid of what happened and how it saved my life Enjoy!!
