Nice topic idea man, what I'd love DayZ to be is gritty, violent, realistic and harsh. Obviously Theres the whole more zombies, tweak teaming up / PvP etc. but in game, it should be harsh, ammo should be rare, about as rare as scopes, and my god guns should be as hard to find as a heli crash, if you find a gun you will look after that thing better than yourself!! I'd like more improvised weapons, molotovs, ied's, etc. and if you throw something then it should hurt the guy if you hit him with a cooking pot! Knives, machetes, screwdrivers, shovels, axes etc. should be the majority of what we use as weapons, then improvised weapons like bows and explosives, then the almighty rare guns come into play, handguns shouldn't be as rare as rifles, but still rare none the less! And if it were like that you wouldn't waste your 2 shotgun bucks on a player that isn't a threat.. Just think, having to outsmart players, lure them to traps, etc. if you want to kill them, would be great! Plus KoS would go way down! Tinned food should be out as well, rare as rainbows! We need to rely more on hunting and fishing to keep going, or other players.. But if you do murder another player, then good lord it should be graphic, if you shoot him with a sawn off against a wall then the wall should be covered in blood.. If you hit them with a machete streaks of blood show along the floors and walls, proper violent, that way if someone does stumble across a body it won't be 'oh free loot', the death would tell a story of how they were killed, were they poisoned? All the vomit around them? Were they killed for food since there's a limb missing? Or is there a psycho nearby? Maybe I should get outta here! That would be my ideal DayZ, not sure how many of you played The Dayzero mod for dayz, but it came pretty close to what was perfect in my eyes - DayZ should leave you with an experience of what happened, whether graphic or how a guy gave you his canned sardines to keep you alive so you had a better chance of survival in the harsh apocalypse And yeah new players would probably die on the coast without a guide book, but it's the apocalypse, you don't get a guide book on what to do, you have to learn and adapt to survive! Perfect, this was what I was looking for! just feedback so cheers for that! 1. Will do, some of the other vids have alot less views:likes - so higher ratio i suppose, meaning better vid. 2. That's what i'm trying to do atm, get a couple of vids out a week, and i've been using the analytics to see what's happening in the vids too. 3. Yeah ha, this was just a short thing I done for dayzTV, to show the ghillie's effectiveness, got me on the front page uprising though! 4. Yeah i removed my audio file because it didn't seem relevant when I threw it together for DayZTV, but put it back in on the channel trailer (basically me laughing at him) 5. Won't be doing that again! Not worth it! 6. That's one of the parts that I'm not totally sure of yet, just wanting to try some things out. 7. Will do, heard it was good to have them there but probably just take them off. Anyway man thanks for the feedback, I do appreciate it!

Haha yeah the tax return last year is how i paid for my CPU and GPU! Got my eye on a second SSD for my rig now too - 1TB Samsung EVO for 400euro, not a bad deal! Getting back to topic, how do you run DayZ on your Mac? A guy at work has a macbook pro too but he wasn't able to get DayZ, and he really wants to play! BTW Great guide!

not exactly begging for views, more for the fact that i was happy to see a video of mine close to 1000 views and I wanted to share with the community and see if anyone had any input or experience of what they wanted to see, so i could continue and improve. in case you missed it. seeing as how both of your posts at this point have just been derogatory and in no way productive or to the point of what the topic was about, you have no reason to comment, unless of course there is something else you could be doing, which seems unlikely at this point, but DO correct me if i'm wrong

Very true, its all about perception of the situation really, all I can say is i've been in those exact same situations and got called all manner of things for it - mainly for protecting freshies or overwatching an area, all we can do though is take it like the guys who are trying to move up and kill us are probably the same guys that would KOS given the chance - sometimes not always but again, all about perception - I like to hold up those guys to try and figure out the situation :D other players not so much unfortunately and shoot for the pretty shovel on your back

Glad to hear :D Every experience in DayZ should be memorable imo, unfortunately though they tend to not be when you're being shot at by an unknown assailant! I've try my best not to kill, because all that will happen is they will respawn and run back to the body - just a wast of time for them really! And as a man with great facial hair once said 'Treat others how you would like to be treated' But saying that, holding someone up is so tense, heart in your throat at times, way more fun that just Shoot on sight! If you ever get held up ask if its me haha! Never know could be!

I have everything maxed out and i still manage 60 fps outside cities and between 25 - 40 in cities - im using a i7 4770k @ 4.0GhZ and a EVGA GTX 780Ti Superclocked w/ 3GB buffer - whats your system spec?

Favourite kill so far? Well this was on experimental just as ghillie's came out, so there i was all ghillied up, living off the land, a true bushman, my weapon was a bow and arrow, and i had to head into town for something can't remember what, anyway i saw a guy in town, i followed him for a few mins, watched what he was doing because bandits taste better, and watched him shoot at a freshspawn, (this was up in Vybor btw) luckily he had *terrible* aim and missed the freshy altogether and started to chase him - the freshspawn ran right past me and i lined up my bow and fired at the bandit, one hit kill. Then I ate him *nom nom

It could also be that grey screen bug, just press tab to pull up your gear and it goes away

Well to be fair a bandit and a KOSer are two different things, a bandit will rob you, new bandits will kill you but proper bandits just rob you - now i'm not a bandit but yesterday i tied to help a freshspawn in Novo who tried to attack me as soon as i put my weapon down, so i broke his legs, bandaged him up and left him crawling around. but yeah if you seem someone near a high pop area hiding in a building, on a hill etc, class them as a killer and take 'em out! Given the chance i wouldn't kill them, but rather knock them out or handcuff them, but either option break their legs, take anything that could be used as a weapon and leave them there - or the old tried and tested way - handcuffed and force feed them worms! Or stand them up against a wall and execute them with style Cobaas

So i finally managed to get everything together for my ghillie suit on the stable branch servers, have to say that it was a lot harder to make than on experimental - alot of searching for that netting - finally found some at Berezhki, but what I'm thinking is how many people are actually going to put the effort into making a ghillie? Because it is hard to make, and ever harder to find the parts for it! I know some people think its too rare - as in one piece per server restart makes it rarer than heli crashes - but personnally i like it - makes it feel likek you have actually achieved something when its made and makes you want to protect it! Hopefully vehicles will be as hard to get going and maintain! So, do you think its worth the effort to make the ghillie? it does hide you unbelievably well - (video below) So how many of you guys will actually make it?
