Whats your system specs? Are you using the DayZ Commander? Which taviana version? You tryed to reinstall DayZ and the Taviana mod your using? 1. I would reinstall everything -delete Arma2 and Arma2 OA in steam - go to your steam folder and delete the arma2 and arma2 oa folder - go to your userfiles and search the folder Appdata(its a hidded one) and delte the arma folders inside - go to your userfiles/documents and delete the arma fodlers - then you are using a tool to clean your registry (ccleaner is a nice tool for that) - deinstall the dayzcommander if you using it already - restart your system - reinstall arma2 and a2oa - start both games once, load a singelmisson or so, make your grapic settings - reinstall the commander and reinstall taviana

I dont play original dayz anymore. Every fucking zombiehit pushes you to the ground. Every second hit gives you an infection. Thats unrealistic and no fun. Origins ftw. hard zombies but no bullshit.

Yes .. the arma2 engine. It is a very powerfull engine for terrainbuilds, vegetation and global lighting. Much much better as the source engine or the dunia.

Okay. I think the dayz mod folders are still in the steam folder after deinstalling the game through steam. You have to delete the arma folders with the @dayz folders inside, manually after you have deinstalled the game through steam. Clean your userfiles too! Then download arma2 and arma2oa again, then download dayz again.

I belive this is possible. Just copy your Arma2 and Arma2 OA folders to your brothers Steam folder. Then start the download. Steam takes care about already excisting files. The Key is in most games saved in the registry or userfiles(appdata). Good luck.

If you starting your game with Steam you can use the steam overlay the get autowalk. 1. press and hold w 2. press shift+tab while holding w (your pressing 3 keys at once) 3. release all keys (now your are in the overlay and your charackter is still walking) 4. press shift+tab to close the overlay (chrackter is still walking)

The OP got really no glue about the Human anatomy. If i shot a Zombies Heart, no more blood goes to the muscels and brain - Zombie dead If i shot a Zombies backbone, the Zombie got no more controlle over his body - no more moving, no more biting If i shot a Zombies main artery in Arms, legs, belly the lose of blood will stop the moving, breathing - Zombie not able to run, dead in <5min Also a Zombie is a biomechanic machine that stops working if you shot the right part(Brain, Muscel, heart, organs, Nervs, arterys, backbone). Zombies are still humans with less brain activity, nothing else. And we have still physics in DayZ. To make Zombies only killable by headshots is much more unrealistiv as it is now.

Dont listen to the hardware noobs here. All above me have absolutly no knowledge about computers. You need a Laptop, buy a laptop. Most people here are to small minded to check that there are situations in real life who makes a laptop the better choise. Its hilarious how alle the little kids here screaming for desktops. The Laptop will run games very well!

Good hardware.... but to say if this is a good deal.. we need to know the price! I see no PSU and no case in your list. The CPU is not the K version, so overclocking will not be that easy. SATAIII on the HDD is good but i would take a 60 or 120gb SSD for the OS + small tools and a 1TB SATAIII for games and big apps. 16GB RAM are useless for games. I would take 8GB DDR3 1866/2000 Mhz instead of 16GB 1600Mhz. But DayZ will be 100% playable on the system you described.

I guess no. The pirated version you used uses modifided files. And this files will still be there even with your original key. Maybe you join a server and get banned... i would not risk it. Download it over night or maybe you can rent a dvd version from a local Movie/games rent house or a friend.

Stop living in 2008.... Source engine looks like shit and has not a single modern effect. There are at least 10 other engine which have more power in every way. Btw: Rocket said that every performance gain is used to make the visuals better. This means you will have the same performance like in dayz now but with better/more effects/texture/etc.

I wish level creating for arma would same easy as it was with the sandbox2 for crysis!Then i would blow your minds with my map ideas....

Arma2 looks better as your L4D screenshots... so why making the standalone looking like a overcolored unrealistic childrenroom? :) The Arma2 engine gots so much more power as the source engine.. especialy outdoor.. Terrain, vegetation and light! So much more realistic as in L4D or any other source engine game. BTW: Turn up the Resolution, the AA and set the texture detail to very high! Your l4d looks like a gameboy game.

Hey man, is this a serverrig? I think a 5450 is not able to run dayz. sorry.
