Hey guys, i didnt played dayz for some time so i wondered how the tents work atm. In dayz mod i allways loved to have a nice camp and live a peaceful life, hunting animals and searching for friendly players i could help out. In Dayz standalone the persitence wasnt worked like that back when i played (tents were reset every week, so i couldnt really build a big camp). is this still the case? am i able to build a big base that wont reset every week on public or private hives?

What a mean way to state your opinion. Its not about forceing anything. I would like to expand the simulation aspect in DayZ to the point of actually having to care about feelings/reactions to actions. It wouldn't harm bandits in any way.

Hey guys, im thought about a new Status like Hunger or Thirst in Dayz that might lead to more random groups/less KOS. (Not that i dislike the way dayz is played at the moment) Its something like Happiness, which can be archived by sitting at campfires for a longer time with other people (or running around with the same people for a long period (a script that see's that you sticked to the same people for a long time), fishing, farming, hunting, helping people out or anything that makes humans happy (not sure about killing people, maybe characters could develop to like killing people). To keep it realistic i thought about, that if you are happy you may get hungry (and thirsty) a bit slower (nothing game-breaking). Not really sure about what this condition should bring to be rewarding and realistic. Maybe someone has a good thought that would add to this.

Hey lads, i've got a few questions. I havn't played for a bit so i wonder, do tents still reset every wednesday? if yes, is this the case for private servers too? Is persistence even working on private hives? Im asking because im looking for a server to settle down, make a camp (that i dont have to re-do every week) and enjoy the peaceful life of dayz. if somebody could recommend me such a server, this would be great. thanks for ya help buds

A body just vanished for me and my friend after we killed him. Known bug?

Funny thing is, i did this twice. We were chilling at Electro Sniperhill when i wanted to disinfect a friend of mine (Note: This character had like 40Hours playtime and was full geared) just for fun "to make him clean". Because he moved i drank that shit, to get healthy again i had to use several supplies. After like 10 minutes i was healthy again. Soooo, smart like i am i tried it again. And failed again. Because we hadn't had much supplies left and i was about to die we had to make our way to cherno (because electro was empty). I barely survived just because i used like the amount of supplies of 10 Hospitals (6 Saline bags). In the end i managed to survive. Only to die a more stupid way! Our group was growing. Me as Teamleader and one friend of mine who played the mod along with 3 friends who just got into DayZ. We wanted to check out zeleno to get some gear for one of our groupmembers. We also checked Green Mountain. We told our new friends crazy stories about this place. Like that its haunted and stuff like that. I never really believed in this crap. However. To have a laugh at the mighty dayz god we had a dance, see picture -> http://i44.tinypic.com/e804ti.jpg After that everything happened very fast. Suddenly M4 fire. Everyone died. My full operator character with 50 Hours playtime died at Green Mountain because i hadn't had the respect that is needed to survive at that place. RIP

My friend and I had the problem of getting ported back (no hacker). We were like 2km away from zeleno when we logged in. We ran to zeleno and somehow we got ported back to our locations where we logged in. We were also unable to close the inventory or press esc (alt f4 only possible way). When we logged back in we were back at our first spawn location. Happend like 5 times for my friend (on two different servers and 2 times for me (on one of these servers)).

This will end in massive kamikaze.

Semi-related to Topic: What about a little warning about when the server is restarting? Its pretty shit when the server goes down and you are on the airfield.

You need to bring Food/Thirst/Vitamins to a full level to regenerate blood. If you have full blood your healthy will regenerate.
