    I dunno, in my experience, as long as I compensate for the left heading of the bullet (which is most likely just a bug) I hit exactly where I meant to every time with the mosin. I find it hard to believe that the dispersion is that high on a mosin at 500 meters. That would mean that statistically you should miss at least* 50% of your shots and that is not what I have seen in practice.

    The furthest ever shot I made was with the .50 cal sniper rifle and AP ammo in Arma 3 (regular ammo just had too much bullet drop at that range to hit the target no matter how high you aimed, it just wouldn't even come close) at 2100 meters center mass on the first shot. Back on topic though, I haven't used the PSU past 200 meters. I only use it in urban areas so I can't tell, but it seems even with pristine condition long range scope, past ~300 meters the bullet always hits about 10-20 cms to the left of the target. e.g. 500 meter shot, aiming center of the head of target bullet flies by his ear to the left by about 20 cms every fricking time. :(

    I was referring to effective range, should have been clearer on that. Also using the PSU past the maximum zeroing range will be useless, since you will have to aim above the target and because the reticules are so thick, you won't be able to see where exactly you are shooting at. So killing anything past max zeroing, let alone 1500+ with a PSU scope will be pretty much impossible unless you get a lucky shot.

    Although I have not tested it, I doubt the 7.62 rounds can travel that far i.e. 1500+ meters.

    From my experience they upped the ammo spawn rate for Magnums when they added the Magnum to the loot table.

    Mosin with a long range rifle is pretty much a sniper rifle.

    It is a known issue labelled as rubber banding. It will be fixed in the next patch hopefully.

    This bug has existed since pretty much release. Weapon sounds are bugged too. You can have a guy shoot right next to you and you may not hear anything and you may hear a shot from 800 meters out like it was 3 blocks out. Sounds are generally very very buggy at the moment unfortunately. Even footsteps. I hear footsteps outside the building to my left but it is actually someone upstairs to my right.

    Fresh spawns can be a threat as well if they come close and punch you in the face. You pass out, they take your gun, you can figure out the rest...

    Are you certain it was by itself? The bug definitely exists and has been reproduced i.e. restarting server at will.
