No, white circles were a problem in the mod too, and it is one of the worst features and immersion killers out there. Why does everyone want easy mode? -

Nothing will ever be enough because it is the nature of mankind to always want more. The game is a survival game and it will get more features with regards to survival, just not enough for you. For me and many many many others this IS a survival game. Also if I am geared up with an M4 and break a leg I am not simply going to commit suicide, well you may but not others. Besides you can fix a leg with a splint as well and therefore don't need to go to a hospital. The simple fact that you do not know this and the fact that your examples are based on what YOU would do in the game in certain situations, makes it hard for me to take you seriously.

You can disagree all you want it has worked in Eve-Online for almost a decade and it will work for SA as well. You are always at risk whether you are logging off or not, that is not an excuse to not have the 30 second timer. It is up to you to minimize or eliminate that risk by making sure nobody has spotted you. Besides, the system will be improved upon, how I am not sure (I am guessing it'll have to do with "camping" and barricading buildings) but giving someone the option to cancel the logout and give them a chance to weigh the situation is not an improvement in my opinion. -

No, it gives them the opportunity to weigh the situation, i.e. if it is safe to combat log or not and combat loggers should not have that luxury. It is silly that you are playing the realism card in this instance. This is a game after all and there have to be certain measures to prevent people from abusing certain things, i.e. in this case combat logging. It is very similar in Eve Online, if you log out in space without aggro, you stay in space for 30-60 seconds. If you do the same with agro you stay in space for 15 minutes. (i think it is 5 minutes for PVE agro). Well there is no agro in SA atm but you get the point. Also if you are unable to find somewhere safe to logout and survive for 30 seconds you are clearly playing the wrong game or you are just bad at it. -
What part of that is hacking? Server wide direct comms also a known bug.

It really seems people are looking for all kinds of excuses not to have a logout timer. Really shows how they play the game, disappointing. -

Really, so you don't like combat loggers but you want to give them the chance to defend themselves? That makes absolutely no sense. If you are in a combat situation and try to combat log, you shouldn't have the option to cancel it and instead bear the full penalty of your action instead. It is your choice to combat log after all, you should live with the consequences or don't combat log. Simple as that. -

First off, you can see what in-game time it is on the server browser so that is not an excuse. As for the the logoff timer, well life is not fair, I rather have that and lose my character once in a million chance than people combat logging all the time. -
Well the majority of players are either beginners or novices so that is not surprising. There are plenty of things to do in the game. You just happened to pick one that takes the least effort and doesn't require much skill.

Next time loot him before shooting him to make sure he is dead. There is no point in ruining all the items in his inventory ;)

As I said on another thread, when Rocket was approached with this question his only reply was "We are thinking about adding tatoos". I am not sure if that was serious or taking the piss however.
