I have only had my legs broken once and my pants ruined twice (randomly). Apart from that it is usually falling to my death by glitching through buildings and yea, the ship at Riffy is the perfect place for that. -

That is not the core of a good gameplay video. The core of a good gameplay video is content and if you don't have that it doesn't matter whether you are 1pp or 3pp. -
Don't be in such a hurry to grow up. It isn't as great as you think it is, actually it is quiet the opposite.

As long you have patience and move with double shift inside buildings, don't go into second/third/etc. story of a building when you are experiencing lag/desync and don't log off inside buildings, you're safe from randomly broken legs. -

No it is the worst place to put your magazines at least the way damage is handled right now. You are more likely to get shot from the front (even higher probability if you are a good player) and your chest being the largest surface area, is the most likely area to get hit. 9.5/10 times I get hit in the chest because I am usually facing the person who is shooting at me. Putting anything essential into your vest or shirt is just asking for vital items being ruined when you need them the most. If you want quick, closer to your gun reloads, keep one spare mag and some ammo in your pants. Dump the rest of mags/clips/speed loaders and ammo into your backpack. -

I would say 4x 60 round dual mags (1 in gun, 3 spare) is ideal just in case you need to lay down suppressive fire. -

Well better be prepared than end up with having nothing but ruined magazines to reload your weapon with/ruined sidearm that you can't fire with. In this game you should always expect to get into a fight whether you play defensively or offensively. However this will all change once they fix the damage to items which is buggered right now. -

They are pretty much broken right now and are being worked on. Making any assumptions based on their current state is kinda pointless. -

Actually it does matter, not the placement of items but where you get hit at. I never get anything damaged or ruined on my backpack when I get shot from the front and 99% of the time I get shot from the front, hence why I always keep essential stuff in my backpack. -

In either case, I think his announcement was made too prematurely and should have been worded better. Not expecting this much flack about it would be silly. I appreciate him being honest and all but you don't have to be a rocket scientist (pun intended) to predict this "outcome" i.e. an unfortunate portion of the player base going "OMGWEHAVEBEENROBBED". No doubt it isn't a desired outcome but unfortunately a realistic one, our gene pool is littered with trash. -
