I don't see the point in adding any M4/M16 variants into the game. I also don't understand why some people find the SCAR and Steyr AUG "stupid" or unlikely. Plenty of countries who are part of NATO use both rifles. (edit: use both rifles as in one or the other)

I have no problems with the mosin hitting on target (in-game), so I don't know what you are on about.

Having fired a G3 in real life, there is indeed something beautiful about a vanilla firearm and dayyum son that baby packs a punch.

Same with G3s, they are used more like assault rifles for regular military personnel in many countries and they do not have attachments and rails. There are better platforms for that without having to actually pimp it out.

Definitely not an airstrip, also if you go up North you will see many of these empty slots particularly on the new northern highway/railway. I believe some of them are place holders/bases for buildings to be added in the future. This one in the op seems to be one of these as well, as the shape appears to be too random to be a mere parking lot.

Learn to read the map (ingame or out of game) and you can estimate the distance correctly to within 0-50 meters. My longest shot is 2100 meters on Arma 3 on a stationary target with the 50 cal and AP ammunition because the regular ammunition doesn't go that far for some odd reason no matter how high you aim or set your zeroing to.

Too North East / Coastal Focused?

There are already 2 new towns NE (North of the Airfield) plus lots of empty slots reserved for more in the vicinity. I agree with the initial map they did focus too much on coastal towns and the heavy concentration of military bases on the West side of the map. It seem now however that they are trying to remedy that with more points of interest in the East. However, I am still of the opinion I had stated in a similar thread, that the Western side of the map has too many military bases and either should be reduced or more balanced across the map. You can visit most of the military areas in the West in a matter of 1-2 hours max and get geared up to the brim, you know the usual looter route Balota-Military Base(near Pavlovo)-Zelengorsk-Green Mountain- Military Base(near Vyborg)-NW Airfield and by the time you reach NW Airfield you probably are so fully stocked on gear that you won't even have to go there unless you are looking for rare items like the LRS. -

Yes but that doesn't change the fact that the M4 still doesn't fit the setting. So the devs adding weapons that fit this setting is not correct. I am not saying they should to be honest. I'd be glad to have any type of weapon unless they aren't too over the top, like a 50 cal sniper rifle, but I fail to see how a weapon like the Kriss Vector or Scar for example would ruin the immersion of the game. Also this:

Some of the weapons that are already in the game as well as most of the ones in the mod do not fit the setting. I don't see your point. Should they remove the M4 then? I am sure it is a common weapon in the US but quiet the opposite in a setting like Chernarus. In fact with that mindset we should have little if any US weapons at all as they are only really common in the US. So it would be just as uncommon/unlikely to have a Kriss Vector in Chernarus as having an M4. As for "strictly" civilian weapons, people generally tend to stick with the local produce as they are usually cheaper and easier to acquire.

You are assuming one would go head to head with a crossbow against a person wielding a firearm. It will be a very handy weapon when it comes to stealth, both for killing zombies and other players, especially when you are outnumbered but have the drop on someone.

Weird choice of sound for the MP5, they definitely do not sound like that. As for what weapon it will be, I am guessing the MP5 definitely. However, as to what SMG I would like to see, it would definitely be the Kriss Vector which uses .45 ammunition and Arma 3 already has a model ready for it ;)

Yes, unfortunately it didn't stop you from posting this like a sperglord. On to the actual topic however, yes it should be put back and it will be when the time is right with regards to performance optimizations, it is just a temporary measure at the moment. -
