Imo, Namalsk nails it on how hard the survival is and really empahizes the temperature. It makes a very great survival map that people can cooperate on.. if it werent for the high abundance of military loot. Most people play the map as a pvp map... and to be honest I have killed a lot more people that I prefer as a medic. I've never fired first, but people almost always shot at me for some reason(this way today :P). Most of the people I killed had fired pistols into me, but they always had an AK on their back. Although, since there is only 1 hospital on the entire map you are basically screwed if you break your legs. I was playing on a private hive where you spawn with a makarov and basic tools. I had ran around for a while and saw there was a base set up for friendlies and was being announced over side chat. They were apparently at the tunnels, and I was curious so I went over there. They had snipers overwatching and would KOS if you didn't announce, but I didn't get killed and I gladded was given supplies. This happened yesterday. Today I got back online, and the fort was still going strong, even with more people! Bandits were roaming the hillside picking off travelers to the safe haven. I made my way back there(I died from hax) and I keep hearing gunfire from the hills. They sent out people to go kill the bandits but we never found them. I was given supplies and weapons, but we reallly needed medical supplies and the Old Hospital was supposibly hot. Me and another guy volunteered to make a run to the hospital. As we were leaving two of the guys back at the fort were killed by an invisable hacker with a glock. We kept on anyway because some of them still needed meds(and we could use some ourselves). On our way there we saw the two bandits who were known for killing people and they fired on my friend and myself. We took out the first guy who had complete shit aim, but I was killed by his friend with an m14. My friend shot his friend with his m16 but was killed himself. Then the bandits went on raging and called our fort evil bandits and stuff. TL;DR Version: It would be nice if someone were to make another map with the same feel as Namalsk, but with more civilian gear. I met nice people in the tunnels but we died to bandits.

Well, your experience may be different, but in my gameplay time I've ran into more friendlies than bandits. Since its a small map, you're bound to run into someone especially if it is a full server. I was running around the old hospital and these guys said they had eyes on me, then I heard bullets slam next to me. It turns out they were shooting the zombies chasing me, so I figured they were friendly and we saluted over 200 m. A little while later these guys were running a safe haven for survivors in Object all bunker. They had this place locked down with snipers overwatching(legit ones) and people watching the ladder. Our run was cut short by air strikes from a hacker.. but it was really fun. Another time when I was leaving the bunker, I found this PBX boat and picked up two guys. We drove around the islands and grabbed millitary loot. I had found a ghillie at Vorkuta, and this guy saw me and came up. We just stared at each other and I called out I was friendly in direct chat(it was on). He shot me with a makarov so I loaded him up with mine then hit him with 3 CZ rounds. I got fixed up by my buds and we went to some western camps. Found a guy looting it and he shot me with his makarov.. my slugs entered his face from many directions. We went down to object all to see how the bunker was holding up, and thats when we found a second PBX boat. Our little boat convoy landed near object all and went to check crash sites, turns out we found a ghillie. As he put it on both of our legs broke and I was killed. Not sure if glitch or hacker, but it was fun.

That was... beautiful. I've come across people and usually do that. But a bandit doing that. /salute

Smoke grenade was actually flammable gas and you were smoking a cigarette.

I want to see more interaction with the wilderness. Like you can create sniper stands on trees, dig foxholes, set up tripwires to a snare. I also want animals to be more common but harder to kill. They startle when they heard gunfire or when someone gets near them and actually run instead of hobble along like a crippled turtle. Another thing would be to have multiple islands in the map and make boats more useable. Lastly I would like seasonal weather based on timezones. The same scene can be boring..

Is there any specific rules pertaining to medic involvement in the clan? When to help out survivors, backpack containments, etc.

I've played on some public hives with side chat enabled, it seems people are more friendly when side chat is on. I meet several people who actually needed help and didn't KOS when I can near them to give them blood, morphine, etc. But on normal servers it seems to be everywhere. Private hives are nice though, people can't ghost you and the number of script kiddies tends to be lower.

They are legit, you need it to use with sandbags in order to form fortifications. Its pretty rare to find one of those though.

At the time I had been playing DayZ for a week and I was playing on a public server. I spawned around electro near the factory part and made my way to the main area. Suprisingly I wasn't killed but I heard gunshots in the town. I looked over to the firehouse in the town and saw tents everywhere. Like over 50 of them. Even though I've had experience with ***ers in my limited game time, I knew that those were hacked. Me being a newb walked up to the back part and tried to search the tent. Bam, double barrel into my back. I was passed out and being eaten by zombies and my hands were already off the keyboard for I knew I would die. Then I see this guy come up to me and drag me a little bit to the wall. Then out of nowhere I was in the east side of cherno near a warehouse. My timer was 3/4 of the way full and he was bandaging me. He had the exact same loadout and person as me. I woke up when he was giving me blood(I think). He ran off before I could see his name. I died shortly after though to passing out near zombies. Whoever he was, he saved me. I think he may have been a friendly hacker..

Wow, other medics. I have only see one who saved my life, but he was hacker. Never got his name cause I was passed out at 500 blood. I was at the fire station walking to this hacked camp inside and then got a double barrel to the back. I was being eaten by zombies until I noticed I was being dragged, then I teleported. He had the exact gun, clothes, and face as my guy. He bandaged me and was giving me blood and when I woke up he ran off. Never had the chance to repay that guy and he inspired me to be a medic today (no real major cases, helped some random strangers with blood).

Noble cause. I started this game around 1 week and a half ago and I learned that most of the time you will be shot at with a bandit skin. I got mine from self-defense. I regret killing people, but now im at -9000 humanity and it will take some time to get survivor skin. Once I do get survivor skin I plan to become a medic aswell.

If the person I see is a bandit, I will normally kill them if they are armed. My code of Dayz is to never shoot an unarmed person (unless they are running for something I own). I'll call out friendly if it is a survivor and will defend myself if aimed at. Most of the time it leads to my death, but w/e. I've had my fair share of killing and sniper play.
