I've only ever seen one sniper rifle in my time on DayZ, and that was a CZ550, which I lost due to an incident involving a hatchet and a massive lag spike. I've done several loot run of the NW Airfield, Stary Barracks, and Deer Stands/Fire Stations in between and never even seen one military grade sniper. I've had coyote backpacks, 2 bear traps, Silenced M4's and sniper mags til kingdom come, but never an actual rifle.

It's working on the minecraft model, meaning it's a one time payment at a discounted price during the alpha.

The worst that can happen for owning hacked in items is a SERVER ban. BattleEye and the DayZ team do not actively detect out of place weapons, just the scripts that generate them, so hiding them doesn't 'save' you from much, except maybe a waste of inventory space.

I think a second backpack slot would be very interesting for this kind of thing. You could have a quiver in a vest/thigh pouch, or you could carry czech vest pouch in the second, actually giving it a reason to be in the game.
