    Same reason people don't want their entitlements taken away from them. We get attached to the easy life ;)
  2. The medical aspect does need some work too ;) Getting to full health should take more than just a bandage and a blood bag. Should require time and other stuff too.

Only if it hit's you in a vital spot. at close range 7.62x51 is going to cut threw you like butter ;) You might even be able to keep standing up. at close range even 9s can cut threw you. spec FMJ (what's in DayZ) anyway I'm talking about 100m+ distance .. I should of made that clear. the 5.56 could be thrown off it's flight path if it pen and might have lost so much forward momentum if it didn't pen someone, with in a short distance it wouldn't do much to what ever is behind it. That's one of the reason the mil uses 5.56, helps keep people behind walls/hostiles safe
  4. 107 can pen a m113 easily. hell... if your rain enough 7.62x51 on it it will damage it. anyway.. The game does need to go more militaristic and stay civilian at the same time witch is tricky. Squad vs Squad or PvP is a big part of the game, and tactical advantages is a big deal... and should be expanded upon more than just AK vs M16 I'd personally like to see a the M136 returned and Armor in the game.. Mortars and Browning M2s on the An2. Add some dept to the battles instead of just picking people off with long range high cal rifles. Speaking of, I think armor would be good for the very reason that there is such an exploit on snipers and battle rifles. Mobile cover would make other guns more useful in the field.

  6. I'm going to use Joeyslucky22 UI design as reference because we have reason to believe SA will mimic it... I noticed in his post, the backpack (for exp) is a 3x3 square... see. http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/79641-inventory-ui-concept-design-v21-window-based/ ('back' on picture two) This got me thinking about inventory management... If you had a empty backpack, then threw something in it... say a can of beans... then later you threw a glock in it, it would be on-top of the beans. (using the num-pad as reference) 1,2 and 3 would be filled up by default 1st... then as you put more stuff in it, unless you manage the inventory space, it will be on top of the things in those spots. Now since things 'fall to the bottom' of the pack, things that are at the bottom will take a sec longer to get out if there are things on top. Say it takes 1 sec to move a mountain dew from your pack to your body by default... Well if that mountain dew is in spot (1) and there is something in spot (4) and (7) then it will take 3 seconds to get the mountain dew out. This seems rather confusing.. Just think of it as Tetris, but if you where trying to move a block at the bottom you can't cause there's shit on top of it. This will cause people to manage their invent better... put the more impotent things on top, and the less impotent things on the bottom.

  11. Ammo isn't common enough for the civi rifles, but is to common for the military rifles =\ Spec the 50 cal rifles

  15. I can see that the game is going to be amazing ;) Far pass what the mod was originally going to be

Not asking to take shit out of it just to get to the bottom, saying it takes a second (or so) longer to get to the bottom cause shits in the way. if your life is on the line, shit's not going to grow legs and make a path for you to get to the glock at the bottom, you should of done some inventory management before it. I'd like to see a drop from bookbag feature.. So you can just toss it to speed things up.. Also Joey design is much like the Xcom one, so we're still in the same realm ;)

  19. I really like this idea, but I feel that Grenades and Bear traps are to common to do this... Every bear trap you find will be an explosive one. Would have to require more than just a bear trap and a grenade... Prob string too, and maybe something to weigh down the grenade so it isn't catapulted across the map. Though I really like it, It's like mercy killing ;)
