I don't know if I understand, but I'll try to explain. take the Makarov issue for exp. They remove it, it forces players to be stealthy. thus taking away their freedom and responsibility. If I don't have a makarov at the start, I don't have the freedom, the responsibility to pick rather a good choice, or a bad choice to promote my life based on my playing style. Nope, I'm forced in to playing stealthy If I wanted to play Splintercell I would, but I want to play DayZ, and DayZ is about freedom (or at least I thought) -

Authenticity vs. Realism is a big issue. People are taking realism and putting it way out of proportion. there should be a basic understanding between the two and that the game is base on Authenticity not realism. I think forcing someone to do something is also stupid. people think the only solution is to X is Y, but there are 23 other solutions out there they could use.. Get creative! Restrictions on game play should be preventent at all cost. If it's 'Taking away the makarov', 'spider senses when you're near a bandit', or if it's PTSD when killing someone These are not good options for the game, It will push it towards more mainstream fuck up games rather then being it's own beast. -

I'm not sure how I could be any clearer. I'm not saying the gun is inaccurate or too accurate or a laser. I'm saying the PERSON FIRING IT would most likely miss. Even with extended military training you can't be 100% effective to the gun's limits. Yeah, a 300m shot is quite hard, but most of the confrontations in DayZ are with in 100m due to the lack of scoped rifles. a 100m shot isn't as hard as you're making it out to be. if there is one thing bis did right, it's the rifles and dynamics of the firefights.

Have you read this thread? They won't HAVE beans. They may not start with beans, but they may pick it up before they pick up a gun Food is not as rare then weapons. -

NO spawn.. go to find a gun.. die.. Repeat. Repeat again. so one in so forth. This will only lead to People who can be lethal and people that are easy targets. and it also forces people in to playing a style of game play they may not like. now you can play stealthy, or you can barge in guns blazing. with this you are forced to play stealthy. Do not do this.
