  1. that could work, but the problem is that you can only change your "skins" and there isn't enough skins as it is. Arma2 skins do not use back packs, and then that leaves PMC, BAF, US, Taki skins and a lot of those do not fit the mind set of DayZ or allready being used.

  4. no, it has to be enabled server side. there's a PSO? code that has to be put in to the server for it to recognize the script in the mod, but the mod is ran via client side.. I think that's how it works, i'm not all sure. it's like the mod has to get permission from the server to run it I think.
  5. +1!!! I will keep this idea at the top! they should search out the sounds, they don't magically know if it's a player walking around or a zombie just by listening. Rocket should implement this

  8. I think there should be more stalking/tracking options. Targets that have been shot will bleed, You should be able to see the blood on the ground and track it. If the target bandages it's self or the wound scabs up the blood trail will stop. Similar to the green blood at 3:57 in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhDHqcl46F8&feature=related I also think that there should be a way to examine the ground to look for disturb parts of the environment, If found a disturbance. It will give a direction of witch the target was headed. I also think that used cartridges should appear near shooters, but not like part of the animation of shooting. Let me explain. in the game you have loot like tin cans, that you can throw to distract zombies. I think after shooting X amount of rounds (depending on the gun you are using too), a loot pile will appear to the right of your rifle You can pick this up and throw it to distract zombies, or if you forget about it, someone else can use it to track you. Like I said while ago about the gun to amount rounds you shoot ratio. I think a twin-barrel shotgun should have a "loot pile" appear after 2 shots, but a M16 will take 5 shots All blood, disturbances, cartridges loot should disappear after 15-30 mins to prevent server lag. I believe that this could be used for evil and good. You could go to help out a guy who's been hit by zombies and needs medical aid, follow his blood tracks to find his location, Or you could track someone to see if he is a bandit or not. you could use it to track a guy that you shot, and you wanted to finish the job. kinda like a game of hide and seek ;) Or you can use it for hunting. You want be able to track on all terrain, Roads/dirt paths/ inside buildings/etc... of course you can't track in. People may say that grass folding down is a way to track, But I disagree since grass can not be seen at 50+ meters or so. Plus if the grass is folded down, and you our 50 meters away, then walk on to it. It will reset.

Team speak is gay. ruins the point of the game. even if you do get you and your friends on TS3, you still can't communicate with strangers that way. with that being said. you should add Long range radios, I suggested it in my "back pack" thread that's in my sig. It's suppose to be a long range radio that is portable. maybe 50klick range they should add short range walkie talkie with 10 klick range and static radio towers that can send out radio waves out to 200 klicks out

It should also be a portable version that you can carry like in ACE. I believe long Range Radio is a must. As suggested by Deuzerre. Support: LMG and AT4 Mule: Backpacks to carry more items then normal inventory. Disclaimer: these are just place holders, don't based your opinion on the list above. through I would like to see long range radios, Electrician, Mule and Difibs (if they found a good way to use the difibs) The post isn't about those, if you have a idea based on those go to that post lol _________________ All these promote group play as a stand alone item. but this isn't where the idea could end. If you had these items take up the back pack slot, it would promote group play even more with out harm of lone wolf style. It is also a alternative to player classes. In player class you chose your class, get some perk and you're stuck with it till you die. Well in this if you want to be a medic, then drop your back pack and become a medic. BAZINGA you went from a mule to a medic! (or visa versa) for exp, 4 guys, 1 with a gen. another with a defibrillator. and then the other two mules that extra carried food/water/ammo in their back packs. if 3 died leaving 1 guy with a gen, he could just drop the gen and pick up a back pack since that's the idea item for lone wolf play. causing the backpack to indirectly promote group play. You still start off with a backpack and you can upgrade that backpack if you want. So there isn't any threat to lone wolf gameplay. It would be the exact same as it is now. the only difference is that you have the option to drop the backpack for a generator, Radio, etc.

  14. This is a "small part" of a bigger idea, You said something about towns with electricity can't spawn zombies.. It's up to the amount of support these post get and rocket to put these in play =p
  15. Melee weapons mechanics I think the melee weapons could use some "re-amp" I understand the hatchet, and crow bar taking up the primary slot. They are big thus take up a lot of space. but I also think there should be smaller knifes, like the hunting knife (Sog Seal pup knife) and Kukri that go in the utility slot. but can be accessed by the action menu. Like how the AT and AA launchers are in the back pack slot, but you can get them out by using the action menu... same mechanic but with the utility slot and melee weapons. Kukri with the introduce of melee weapons, I believe there should be a mother effen kukri! http://www.coldsteel.com/gurkhakukri.html I personally own this one (i didn't buy for 300$!) and I can promise you, it will cut strait threw you. rival a katana. The game is bad ass as it is, but to have a gurkha kukri would push it over the edge!
