    Peripheral dots.

    It's not that it's realistic.. it's that it's authentic... a Milsim like Arma needs it because we don't have the FOV of IRL... even with the FOV cranks up we are still on a downward slope. I agree removing them is silly, but keeping them as they are is just as silly. They need to be more inaccuract and harder to see... Plus they should all be white/clear and not red or green.

    Because the game is suppose to be logical. witch adds to the authenticity and immersion of it. It's not that it isn't a bad idea, I suggested it a long time ago. ;) It's just not for DayZ. Only logical way to pull it off is have the player catch the 'rage' virus.

    because they are NOT DEAD. lol, Rocket and other devs has stated this so many times. There was an entire movement to try to make sure the zombies where called infected for that very reason, lead by Rocket. and curing a virus isn't that easy, maybe disease where you just take antibiotics like a cold.. But a virus will adapt to it.. anyway the sickness is way pass the point of return and there will be no NPC so it's pointless debating it.

    The characteristics of the players immune system have not been written in stone. But there is a post where Rocket was talking about the zombie infection making you sick. Anyway, thank God you can't ban people ;) on the OP. the zombies are not dead, they are living 'human' being. They are just sick. If one kills you, you are dead. Though I would love to see an ai take over the players body if they did catch the infection itself, and didn't treat it.

    Weapon Damage table changes.

    DISCLAIMER: 7.62 is going to be a general term for all Battle rifle calibers (.303 .308 7.62x39 etc.) 5.56 will apply to 5.45 too... I also will not be talking about pistol rounds or the 12.7x99 BMG Right now the damage from a bullet takes a X amount of blood away on hit. 7.62x51 will cause up to 8,000 blood lost on hit... Where 5.56x45 will do 3,500. I feel this should be changed. spec when 7.62 will keep it's bullet trajectory while traveling threw a person.. and 5.56 can tumble (not always) causing more internal damage than 7.62. Either way I'm NOT asking for 5.56 nato to cost more blood than 7.62.. That's silly... I do think 7.62 should cause more blood lost on initial hit than 5.56.. but 4,000 more is a little dramatic. Spec when recoil isn't properly represented in Arma2 (see. ACE2 mod or go shoot a assault rifle, than switch to a battle rifle) I do think 7.62 should have a bigger chance of knocking a player out, will also cause a player to bleed faster over time and on average will do more damage than 5.56. 7.62 will also have a high chance of completely penning a player and hitting what ever is behind it. on the other hand, 5.56 should have a small chance of knocking someone out and will not bleed (on average) as much over time as 7.62. The bullet will have a lower chances of penetrating a player.. and has a chance of tumbling witch will cause more blood lost on the initial hit. (than the average damage by 5.56) On a rare occasion, if the shot is placed well and tumbling does take effect. the 5.56 should cause more initial damage than the average hit of 7.62. But this should be uber rare.

    I've never shot anything over 55 grain, but i have some friends with some nice long range AR15s ;) plus they are a bit cheaper haha

    This is true.. the health system is unbelievably flawed. but I do agree the weapon damage tables do need to change too.

    [SA] Firearm Safeties

    When I play, I always keep both fingers on the RMB instead of one on the left and one on the right... shooting can be such a pain ;) Also if you Alt-tab, when you click back in you might shoot off a round witch could get you killed.. So i fully support this idea.. teach people gun safety, even if it's in DayZ. Anyway, guns looted off the ground should be random in their selected fire mode... i.e. An M4 can be on fullauto, semi or safe... you have to deal with it when you pick it up. and their should be a very small visible indicator that the guns are on safety too.

    A Way to Introduce a more Work-together environment?

    I tried to tackle the teamwork issue on a long time ago.. http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/5922-the-team-work-philosophy-shoot-on-sight-group-play/ being the results. This was so long ago though, I could update the shit out of it now. I still stand with it, but I do think there are many more ways to promote teamwork. i.e. sickness.. Though I don't want the game to be so hard that to survive, you have to team up. Lonewolf it's a justified play style and shouldn't shun out.

    Weapon Damage table changes.

    It surpasses the 7.62x39 spec pass 300 meters but the x51 does have it's perks ballistically but I prefer the 5.56 tactically haha. Also if you use 77gr with a 20+ inch barrel.. you can touch people at 800 with 5.56... either way lol you might want to talk in simpler terms. This is a gameing forum, not a gun or medical forum ;)

    The Zen Bandit

    I agree, I'm a Arma vet, so that means in my group i'm the one who carries the weight in a fire fight. But I'm a nice guy, I like helping out people. Cause I put people down in fire fights, i end up with -20,000 humanity and is pretty much impossible to return to the normal survivor skin. It doesn't mater how many blood bag I give out. It was impossible to return back... Personally I'd like there to be no humanity system. But I understand there is something needed in the Mod (not SA). Needs some changes or at least polish it out since the mod is what we have to deal with for now.

    I'm not asking for a nerf haha.. That's the last thing I want... I want one hit to do a crap load of 'damage' regardless to the bullet. even .22 should kill ;) What I'm saying is that the a huge blood lost at initial hit and difference between 5.56 and 7.62 is silly.. It should be closer together, but cause a different amount of blood lost over time. Part of the reason 7.62 is so good at keeping people down IRL is not cause it kills them easily.. but because it sits them down, and gives them a second to think about what just happen to them. ;) It takes away the focus of doing their job. The truth is most people who die from getting shot... Don't die from getting shot unless it hits a vital spot.. spine, brain, heart etc. they die from loosing blood What I'm asking for is to make the damage of 7.62 and 5.56 more similar (not the same bullet, so i'm not asking for them to do the same thing)... but make their behavior and characteristics different. 4000 difference is a bit crazy if you ask me, spec when recoil isn't properly represented and a solid medical system isn't in place

    I'm not either I only brought up heros because it carries weight. and thank God it wont. I hate the humanity system... Out of my group, I'm the best player since I'm an Arma vet and a DayZ 'hipster' ;) But because of that, I ended up killing every threat and it caused me to have -22,000 humanity when I'm really a pretty nice guy =( like being punished for having experience... I'm just saying the average players, are miss labeled bandits. Though the guys in the bandit campfire section are idiots too lol

    I have to disagree, though I can see how people would think that. Most bandits, are just survivors being safe.. I've met a lot of players who are willing to be friendly if you approach them right.. Prob the majority of players, even on 'pvp' or 'bandit' servers. It's one of those things where the minority speaks louder than the majority or negative actions catch the eye faster than positive ones. the "bandit" label, honestly... holds as much weight as the Babbie label... Truth is the only 'label' that does hold weight is the Hero one cause you have to earn it. Anyway... I'd like to see animation hot keys be the 1 threw 0 keys or the F1 threw F12keys... The keys will be useless since they are used for AI commands and that wont be in DayZ.
