That's not all true, I posted a while back in general discussion asking what people attentions where. how they play at start and what the game turned them in to. the majority of people who respawn to the question answered with: they wanted to be friendly, but after being killed, they turned in a defensive "bandit" I came to the conclusion that a fault in the game is what made so many "bandits" It's like the game was born with out a heart ;) I quote bandits because most players are not bandits, but most firefights that do accrue are due to miss-understandings between two friendly parties. barley anyone in the game are really bandits. The community labels the opfor in every firefight "bandits" thus leads to this mass cult like belief that the game is full of bandits. this misunderstanding has turn in to a infection of it's own, it will take a while to weed out the philosophy people have turned to due to it. Any kind of mechanics that promote group play is good. I suggested a thread that's collected quite a bit of dust now: http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=7036 It explains how group play is essential. as far as the OP, i'm not completely for NPC/script in Dayz like that other guy. Maybe make it more player rather then NPC. I would really like to see a storyline to the game. I was thinking news papers that have been burned. when found you only get part of the story, it would be like putting together a puzzle ;) through i'm really interested in a static objective that lures a lot of players in :D I think having a all out war over something would be bad ass. -

Thanks ;) seems a lot of people do think it is. Having lights coming on/off being a unkown factor would be a huge. add a lot of dept to the game. -

pretty neat concept, it would suck getting cough cleaning up in a lake and someone runs up takes your backpack and rifle and run lol I suggested in my post Skins/Clothes and "perks" http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=25776 That you could take off the clothes of dead players. through it would be dirty and bloody, would cause illness faster. I think these two idea's would complement each other quite well. Also, you can make soap out of animal fat or tallow. Video on it here would be pretty neat if there was this kind of mechanic too. you can use tallow to clean your guns/clothes/body etc. adding this mechanic would open a door for all kinds of new features

Sorry, that was out of place. throw as much as I am for more electronics, I can't be for this as it stands. Half of the people who play don't know their own GUID, how do you expect them to enter a 16+ digit code. Arma gives it to you when you start, but mid game it's kinda hard to get it. I didn't say they are not real, but they are not going to pop up in a Post apoc soviet union nation. Even if they did... it's more likely for BTRs, BMP, T90s to show up. There needs to be some balancing, these "auto turrets" will be hard to spot, it will turn in to players placing them into evergreens and AI can see threw trees in Arma2. thus leading to a "invisible" enemy that can easily perma kill players. There needs to be a lot going against the turret to change my mind. extremely poor accuracy and slow gun rotation. relatively easy to kill. a restricted Arch of fire (can only fire at a 45 degrees angle) to give the attacker a ability to flank. The placement would have to be like the tents too, how it has to place in a open clear area. then maybe. To be honest, the more I think about it the more I like it. But I think it will kill to easy. spec with the perma kill mechanic -

automated turrets is retarded, this is a post apocalyptic game, not Team Fortress2. even if there was a automated turret, how would it tell friend from foe. I wouldn't minded m2 that you can put to gather and man it with a person, but not this. as far as electric fencing goes, the animations in the game are not as smooth as real life, it would be impossible to navigate around them. -

I'd like to see more Russian weapons, but I don't want to see the replacement of all U.S. weapons. -
This will be break-en up in sections, Zombies, Players, "perks", Dead Players" I understand that there are post on skins allready, but I'd like to mainstream the subject all in one post. Zombies: • Female zombies • Ghillie suits zombies (spawn near tree stands and what have you) • Survivor skinned zombies (no special abilities/loot for these, just skinned) Players: •Female skin of all clothes •Bandit clothes option •Poncho clothes •more civilian clothes (help with player identification) • Camouflage clothes should be hunting camo not British Military camo It seems odd that in this country where all these CDF soldiers are dead, we find English uni's. Skin perks: Skins should have perks, and faults. e.g. •Ghillie suit will make you 75%(prone) 50%(crouch) 25%(standing) more hidden from zombies, but liable to heat exhaustion. •Camo will make you 25%(prone) 15%(crouch) 10%(standing) more hidden from zombies •Ponchos will protect from the rain but will be a bright yellow. Dead Players: You should be able to take off the clothes of dead players. through doing this, the clothes will be bloody and it will make it easier for you to get sick due to the clothes being dirty, the perks of clothes will be nurf also since they will be torn up. this will add to the accessibility of clothes, but also give them a risk for the reward of being easier to find. ___________________________________ (Numbers are just place holders) I wish to make this the go to for skin suggestions, if you have a suggestion I'll add it to the OP. I'm not just going to let your opinion get lost in the comments. ;)

you can lower your gun allready, only long rifles through. Left ctrl x2 (maybe just once i have my key binding changed)

It's already been said that there will not be any "mutant" zombies. I'd like to see female zombies, zombies with ghillie suits and this: http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=12721 (Mid Infected zombies) witch are all realistic

1st, if this was implace, I think chem lights would have to be rarer and matches would have to be easier to find. I also think this should replace the flash light at the start. I think there should be candles or a lantern, it would really set the mood. If you run/crouch run the candle will blow out. It will last about 10 mins. Edited: could use a torch. The "candle" idea was just a place-holder, suggest what you think will be a good light source that is unreliable and has that fire like look to it.
