I thought I said in the post that the infection will not kill you intently. I'll give it a re-read and fix it asap. though i'm pretty sure I said something about how deep you are in the mist determines how fast you get sick. I do not want it to be a instant kill lol

yes, i think both will compliment each through. I want the tint of yellow to be such a tint that it almost looks gray (like normal fog) giving the player a bigger unkown factor. Is this the fog that contains a horde? or is it just mist? you will only know by venturing deeper in to the mist where it gets thicker and it will be easier to tell the color.

It was just a place holder used to get the point across ;) I accomplished it improving group play so i added it in to help make the point. -

I was thinking of a way to get rid of server hopping and other pain in the ass features that are in DayZ. When I came up with having 1 server that every one played on. that would require a lot (money, a huge map, etc.) and still have latency issues for players that are far away from the main server. now the DayZ team isn't EA or a corporation at all, it's just a mod team, they can't afford a server that holds that many players. To fix this I had the idea of having server boosters. I don't know if this exist or not, if not it could be a new innovative way to have Massive amounts of players on a single server. Each player owned server that works now will be connected directly to the main server, they will be able to hold 50 players or so each. Those 50 players will be playing on the main server with 50 players from a different server. the booster server is to "boost" latency for players and help bare the weight of massive amount of players on one server. to the player, it will look like (in the lobby) that you are joining individual servers. but once you are in game you've joined a server that multiple servers has connected to. _______ you will still be able to host your own server but data would be collected on that server, rather then a main server. Thus preventing actives on your server to effect your pos on the main server. _______ Now I know very little about servers and how they work. this is just an idea I had while eating some pizza.

i would like to see ghillie suit zombies but that's about all. Maybe giving trees a 1% chance of spawning a zombie engeneral, rather then setting zones for them to spawn in. lol, that's not even what the post is about -

Alternative Creepy Music for DayZ

I turn off music so this wouldn't effect me, but as a musician: it is quite nice ;) but I don't know how it would be implamented, I see these going with a trigger, rather then just being back ground music. This would be perfect for a co-op mission, or a game like amnesia but DayZ? I'm not all sure how they would be implemented -
it would be easier to move the GUI or w.e it's called. it gets in the way of the debug monitor anyway, at least for me.

To help fix the hacking problems.. (not a 100% solution) We should have a chat that sends a message to the main server, and the Dev team. We make an AAR of event, details and what not in game, send it to the main server and from there, the Dev take action to banned the player doing the hacking. This will help with fresher report and more immediate actions, it will also supply a server name from where the message came from. Spamming and trolling the server log will also be paid in a week long banned.

it's impossible to change the textures of the map to equal Winter/Fall Through I'd like to see a weather tempature, like i've said in a sweating post. have a GUI that says Hot,warm,cold,freezing. The temp will effect your player in different ways. you should be able to find a thermostat that gives a more exact degree of your bod temp/ weather temp -
make hunting for food a challange

it doesn't need to be harder, forsay. It does need more dept to it. Characteristics for all the animals would be nice. adding deer, and having them run after getting shot, have the same alert mechanics as the infected, but run in stead of attack you. you should also be able to bait animals, drop meat and wait, maybe one shows up to eat. this could help trapping, where you can place a bear trap, bait it with meat. then wait for it to hunt for you. -
