Players 30+ years old

I just paid my first visit to the bandit forum and very nice it was too. Had a quick read and saw a thread asking for players from the England, Scotland and EU to get together but sadly,though very charming they were bandits.

So I wondered if there were players of the same sort of age who don't mind shooting bandits, and zombies but don't really want to just go rob people, kill noobs and start wars. Or am I dreaming?

I am 30 and playing with several players of same age. We are not bandits. I figured in a game which is filled with hackers and players killing others on sight, it needed a few heroes.

I'd be interested in meeting up some time. I'm in my 40s so probably the oldest old fogey in the forums. I'd like to meet up with people who have an objective, even if it's just try to meet up and get to X or Y. :thumbsup:

Bottle, not a problem. I've spent 2 days waiting on someone collect a ghillie suit because I promised it to him. So I haven't played more than 10 minutes because I'm afraid to spawn and die before I get rid of this ghillie.

I just thought it would be good to see how many of us might be interested in meeting up and heading into a server some time. Doesn't have to be a big group, you can contact one or two maybe. :thumbsup:

I have skype, sulalee01 - warning if you contact me and your photo is explicit porn I will block you. This is why I thought it might be good to find a few older players. I've been porned to death on skype by teenagers and prepubescents. :rolleyes:

No idea how to use steam but do have it so I'll work it out.

Been playing since the Steam sale. My kids gave me the game as a gift. I get to play an hour orbtwo here or there each week, mostly on weekends. I played Thief if my youngerbdays, andbthe sneaking around is reminiscant. Im more of a stealth player than a shooter. Played with my kids a couple times and im the medic/scout on the hill. Mostly, i'm a "tourist" who likes to explore the map, see the different areas and towns, avoid shootouts etc. never shot another player in anger (though i once killed a man who shot at me first).

Join the club ;) I'm 50 and seemingly too slow witted to survive on a server that has more than a handful of people.

I havent played online for years, not since COD became a bunnyhopping cheatfest.

I guess having cronies might help break my record or 2 days survival so far. I have 0 murders, but not too bad on the Z count with an axe, assuming it hasn't now been nerfed along with all the other weapons in the last update.

I suggest a loose affiliation with the prefix [fogey] to our names, so we can identify each other and perhaps not shoot on sight?

Speaking for myself, I usually have a blast around 8PM after work, and sometimes, if time, wife and sobriety allow, for a while after TV has finished. This does have the advantage that the tiny ones are all watching X-Factor or in bed while I'm roaming Cherno.

I think I'm definitely going to add [Fogey] to the front of my player name as a recognition symbol.

I tend to stick to UK, French or German servers with few people on - call me old fashioned, but getting sniped for the umpteenth time does not appeal to me that much. When I can get past the random kicks for no obvious reason from Battleye that is. The chance to actually cooperate would be novel.

Old Fart here and never killed a person - In my opinion I thought the game was for survival and not Free4All so that's how I still play it - I am a loner and it gets boring sometimes - I don't like playing in large groups because that seems to turn out bad and accidental killings - But I am good for a few peeps
