Apparently it's okay for the board that you can kill a human, cut him up, cook a steak out of his meat, make a fertilizer out of his guts, and use his lard as fuel for your torch to warm you up at night, but it's not okay to use conventional painkillers. Truly, Australians are enlightened.

Five Star Games are behind the weed fiasco.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWht1ygAc5c&feature=youtu.be

Five Star Games gave a description, that is false, of how cannabis ,that is not in or part of the game was used that clearly violates the Classification Board guidelines

Im calling media stunt to gain exposure for the game/DayZ that they are going to get kickbacks for selling the physical copy's of game

The problem isn't even the ban itself, it's Bohemia playing along with them by changing the game for everyone and the way Australia approaches censorship. Note that banning stuff won't save your society from violence and dangerous ideas, as recent Christchurch tragedy proved.

Media statement—classification history of the game Dayz.

13 August 2019 .

http://www.classification.gov.au/Public/Resources/Documents/2019-media-releases/13august2019--media-statement--classification-history-of-game-dayz.pdf

Cannabis was fine and did meet the guidelines, until Five Star Games turned up.Not sure what Bohemia are doing, what they should be doing is cutting ties with Five Star Games and issuing a statement condemning their actions and have no part of this media stunt .
