@ImpulZ Can we get an explanation on some of the medical stuff? Most players are experiencing a constant sickness? Is it a bug (lol), is it for testing purposes so we try the medical stuff?

It appears to be an issue when drinking from a well. But someone said it might be from zed attacks? 

I’ve done some digging on the medical side in the old version of the game. Apparently, fever was a thing you could get from zed attacks. Is the new fever different to the old one? If so what is it? 

There doesn’t appear to be many penalties to this sickness. Occasional vomiting, and that’s it.

I also see influenza and fever are mentioned separately, so I presume they aren’t the same?

Yeah, it would be useful to know how it's supposed to work in order to identify bugs...

Oh and I forgot, we need something like a bicycle in game which is more common then a car, because maaany people stop playing due to wasting half time on just running.

I'm holding my horses a little tighter than you because of past experiences but yeah, the content is pretty good and it's going the right direction. Hope they do the stuff you say. And fix HWAA causing black screen. And fix items falling through the floor. And fix static HUD overlay caused by changing settings and rejoining a server. And fix zombie loot LOD issues. And fix the "change stance" key being unreliable inside many (if not all) structures.

It's on experimental and I hope that they fix these before it's pushed to stable but at the same time I'm willing to bet, that it will not, as that has been the case with previous patches that were then fixed in hotfixes in the patch-following week, despite the fact, that the issues were reported thoroughly AND acknowledged/assigned on the feedback tracker. We will see...

I actually got sick from drinking from a well of all things.. is this indeed a bug or any and all water sources could be contaminated and such now need decontamination tablets to be safe? you can get sick quite easy actually, drinking from creeks etc.. zed infection I remember will be a thing which is why there is the syringe and medical vial (treatment of condition) once infected, one would display zombie looking features (turning), vomiting blood etc.. and if left untreated player will ultimately die leaving their body to become one of the infected zombies (as it would in a zombie outbreak).

Great update so far and one step closer to fullfilling the list of planned post 1.0 features. I noticed a little issue with the "change stance" function (default "c") sometimes being unreliable to get you back to standing. Anyone else having that issue?

Really really want to see players able to be carrying and dragging players bodies or infected bodies and body decay features and zombie infection to players and ultimately turning them..... into another zombie leaving player to re-spawn as if they died and players body becoming a zombie....

@Tom_48_97  Interesting to see the file worlds_test_ce.pbo looking to manage CE via .pbo file and not in the missions folder, seems sensible idea now with verify sigs working, makes things more secure one can establish.

Side note with all the activating of functions being enabled will this now make Battleye BEC work properly as its intended to?, eg.. bad names, bad words, whitelisting, admin lists etc,..? Im a strong supporter of BEC and being an extension of BI nominated anti-cheat program Battleye,  Id love to see this fully working again in all its glory, Regards.

Well, as you can see in the bottom of this official list out of one of the last made status reports from around October 2018 I believe, decaying bodies, as well as carrying bodies/characters are planned features and thus will come, since there hasn't been any update or altercation regarding this list, that I'm aware of.

As for your idea of turning players, I believe that it is very unlikely we will be seeing anything like this. The reason for that is, that the dev team has in fact uploaded a "gameplay trailer" that get's a tiny little bit into the "lore" of the game, which it feels almost sacrilegious using this big word for the naked skeleton we should refer to as the "story of DayZ". Anyhow, I digress...The female voice says around 0:17, that "you are one of the few immune to the virus, but that's where your luck runs out...". So yeah, that pretty much kills that idea unless they decide at some point to overturn this, but for the moment they have shown a clear stance regarding the subject of player "zombification".

1.03 was definitely pushed too early (released on Friday, out on Wednesday, iirc).

I think that was probably due to the BI anniversary sale, which happened the same week.

This patch seems pretty good, apart from the bugs you’ve listed. Let’s hope the fixes are simple enough.

A valid point but it would be logical to still be able to get infected or just sick perhaps, but getting turned into a zombie kind of completes the circle of it all, instead of going "I am legend" stylez which seems a cure is in fact being pointed at as a full circle, Im sure we would rather be turned or head shotted as oppose to finding a cure which would set DayZ apart from most other games I think. Or it is too hard for the Devs to implement this type of cycle maybe, as with ragdoll physics?

I think it is hilarious how all the console players feel entitled to all the updates and they must have them. This was a PC game first and the master race has been waiting a hell of a lot longer for these updates than you have. I think the dev team should send the console plebs back to .63 for a year before they get more updates. Then at least their complaints will be valid. Obviously they know nothing of development. I'm sure Bohemia would love to add you to their team so you can get console players these updates.

Haa yea IKR when you have over 3k hrs on the PC since 2014 and when console users be like "cant take this shit I bought a console just to play this!" dribble they rant,... PC is/should/always will be the first and upmost priority for new feature/implementations etc... I remember back in the early access was a time where just spamming r key spat out tonnes on pristine ammo... oh the firefights back then..... 😏  Not many players where throwing hissy fits about that too much now were they...

 Not only that, but for me also whenever I change settings quit the game and run it again the screen is black. I can see UI but nothing else.

Yes, there are a minority of console players who are very vocal about what they are entitled to. 

There are also a minority of PC players who, for some reason, think they are superior because they have a PC.

Sorry, I tried, but I don't understand. How would it be logical to still be able to get infected? If you are immune, you are immune. As for ragdolls, those are on the list of planned features as well, like I said. I've posted this list several times. I can post it again if you want. You can also find it in the status report from october 2018 I believe.

We don't know anything about how the actual virus is transmitted. Classic zombies transfer via bites, which would lead to the first question, why zeds in this game don't attack with grabbing and bites but instead, with these retarded swinging and clubbing animations, which I believe are still inspired by Dean Halls most retarded mocap session period @5:58 and yeah, it get's even worse @7:15

Yeah one of the horrible bad design decisions made by the devs in charge after Dean left was to completely cut out any background lore or even worse to make it very basic ,simple and half assed as so many other things.

here is the original lore written by Dean hall and his brother

they even had a name for that thing ...

and this is why I hate so much what this game has become...so many bad design decisions beside the missing lore...no more writing notes, no world containers, no contaminated zones..not becoming infected and no finding a cure...horrible map design (looks nice though) ..no crafting benches...no finding letters and clues about the virus and the outbreak...no advanced cooking...no drugs and alcohol...a horrible unimmersive base building system...anyone remember the original concepts of underground hideouts ?? even simply barricading would have been more immersive than these childish wild west style forts 😞 Making the coast and its iconic cities boring and oversized and forcing the players to go north just to create somekind of endgame is also pure nonsense...same goes for the airfields..there are no real hotspots  crawling with zombies and deadly snipers lurking in the shadows...just more or less empty places

all the real cool stuff is missing or was cut out and I am not speaking about a few fucking guns and vehicles..or fishing or a bow...fuck that ! I am speaking about cool and immersive gameplay mechnices instead of 0815 battle royal shit...

honestly for me this game has nothing to do with its original idea any more...but as it seems it is doing well with a more or less newer player base that I guess does not even know what  this game was planned to be years ago...

Yes well Devs kinda locked themselves in with the immune thing, but who knows they way the game has changed its still possible,.. I remember when zeds used to attack you like you were being infected, They might just go with the immune thing to solve many extra animations and mechanics that would be needed, but it wouldnt take very much and those animation and mocap was way before the enfusion engine was built so maybe its possible.

Exactly what I told them,.. Its a goddamn woodpecker!,.. some music artist claiming rights to it thinking I used their music in my videos... I wonder if thats something to do with all the item name changes in game?.. Who copyrights that though?,.. and really is it such a big deal?

I suppose you're right I feel entitled to a full game after paying for a "full release". I guess I'm not use to the new era of game development that charges full price for half, in some instances 1/4, of a game only to release a "season pass" at the same price for the rest of the game. Granted BI isn't charging for the new content, which credit where it's due. The way in which games are released today doesnt seem to be the exception but the rule. Gone are the days of delaying a project until it was truly a complete game experience, with few exceptions. Now we see more and more titles being pushed out half-assed in order to turn some kind of profit at cost to the end game and experience. However I dont think the infighting amongst the player base is going to do anything constructive and merely create a greater artificial divide that is so apparent between gaming systems. Video games are a form of art, a way to tell an interesting and captivating story meant to immerse the player into the world that the dev's have created. Personal preferences and beliefs aside, I feel more customers in the industry today can agree this isn't the right way to conduct business.

If only the suits holding the bags of money had enough integrity to believe and follow this way of thinking, video games would be in much better shape, no doubt.
