Have xbox edition but thinking of swapping onto PC

Recommended Posts

I have the game on xbox (bought last week) but im thinking I may switch over to PC to play on my gaming PC

Im not wanting to start a console vs PC war but what are the benefits over console versions of the game? Im seeing the community is much more established for one and I also see you can customise your start character?

- Better performance

- Private servers (for now)

- Mods

You can customize your character model and clothing. However it is not finished yet. You will have to re-select your character in the main menu after death. If you don't, you get a random upon respawning.

Don't forget for PC: Aimbot, ESP, Teleporting, Map scripts, and more!

Xbox has it's own pitfalls such as duplication and meatballing, but at least all your gunfights will be 1:1

so I bought the pc version too and had a go last night. I actually play it with a mix of keyboard, controller and mouse which is getting a bit complicated till i get used to it. (I cant get used to WSAD).

The thing that struck me straight away is the amount of loot around. Sooooo much more on PC, decent weapons, decent clothing, loads of standard but useful stuff. Its like falling into a treasure horde compared to the xbox version!

Graphics wise its exactly the same as my xbox X and im currently undecided which version I like best but im swaying to PC

try some of the hardcore or modded servers.. e.g. if you want meaner zombies or MORE Zombs.. you can find a server that specialists in that.. look at the PC Modded server ads and see what they offer. Some give you a starter kit, some want you to join the clan and cooperate, some are PvP freaks..  In un-modded servers, some are private hive = single character, so your char can only play on that one server - If you log in somewhere else you start on the beach again - but on that single character "private hive" server you know there won't be any server hopping, for sure..
OR you can keep the same char on Public hives and wander from one public hive "Official" server to another, always in the same skin and same kit on your back (like Xbox)  ...   If you do BOTH (because you can have several different characters) its a good idea to keep track of your tunes, note somewhere that THIS one plays on Modded server X.Y.Z.A  (private hive, natch), and THIS Other character plays on any public hive server, and THIS one plays on "the Village" private hive un-modded Server .. etc .. if you have 2 or three its easy to mix them up.. (but no big panic)  -  if you log in to a Private Hive server you have played before, you will show up there in the same character you played there before, whichever of your "onscreen characters" you choose to log in with.  - so you can try different servers and look at teh ads here on the forum, see what's on offer and what the play-style is - some servers have rules and a moderator.. whatever.. look around,
Enjoy.

What does that mean?

it means <snigger> ..
like "Mmmuahahahahahah" indicates  <evil laugh>

In my view the claim that commercial "aimbots" are currently in use in PC DayZ is  amusing balderdash
