eno 1049 Posted April 11, 2019 (edited) Communication is a thing. Some people are going to kill themselves if a truckload of money is dumped on their driveway because now their garage is blocked... Other people will quietly move on no matter what you say. But for the solid 80% of people who just want to be kept in the loop- communication is key. They might not like what you have to share at first but as reality sets in with some transparency you will get some buy in and then some vocal support. Storming, norming, performing. Right now you guys are pulling a Jussey Smollet... everyone called you on your bullshit and now you’re doubling down- insisting on your truth and dismissing the obvious. Let us know when you’re ready. A couple months ago there was some grandstanding happening at a reasonably high level about how communication was going to be improved. Want a quote from your last update? Let me know or go look for yourselves . Whatever changes have been implemented on that front have been shitty at best. As mentioned by another game developer in a recent video- this isn’t just your title anymore. This title also belongs to the loyal players who invest their time, money and energy into it and they deserve to be included in the journey. Players who bug tested this fucking game until their fingers bled have been tossed aside like garbage and their loyalty has been eradicated- anyone still loyal to the title who even knows their names are sitting back, willing to play the game but not willing to help for fear of the same thing happening to them. People who are new to the title are heavily influenced by what they read- people who are on the fence between buying or not buying even more so. The community is a 4 ball juggler and you just handed us a 5th ball. One of them is going to be dropped, and you don’t get to pick which one it is. DayZ development is a story and if someone doesn’t tell us what it is we’ll go ahead and make one up- and the one we tell won’t be becoming of the title.
