Offline editor

Does anyone know if using an offline editor for stuff like testing weapons, vehicles, looking cool in an ghillie suit and so on is allowed in DayZ SA?

You may be able to preview textures and objects if you have proper 3D modelling software, the rest of that, most likely no. There's just simply no offline mode. You can go on a private empty server where you can test stuff out.

They do plan an offline mode. But that will be much later.

You mean like arma 3 Apex editor? It is really hard to say if they will go to that level.

Well that does sound alot like if they found out, you will get banned. I'll probably just skip this one and wait until they add an offcial offline version where you can do whatever you want.

It is basically the same, except you can build worlds, missions etc.. It is an approved tool by BI.

This however tool you linked is not. I understand it is to debug the game, but... still not within the rules i understood.

There is no editor/test mode yet.

Anything else is unofficial and can have nasty results. Dont do it.
