Happy Anniversary DayZ!

Recommended Posts

Here on the east coast of the US, it's still technically December 16th, 2016... and that means DayZ Standalone is three years old today! More specifically, it has been available to the public via Steam's Early Access program since December 13th, 2013.

A big thank you to everyone that has been involved from the lowliest submitter of bugs to Dean himself. Keep up the good work everyone, and may 2017 bring you (and DayZ) all the best! :)

@ElPezo

Sometimes there are things that change. We do not know how DayZ SA would look like the old plans. The new forest to come in 0.62 was certainly never planned .... and this new forest will change a lot, seek and hide ^^.

But in all seriousness, this game has come a long way. And I'm very excited to see what the future will hold for DayZ.

DayZ Standalone is Actualware!   These constant updates and reaching this third anniversary milestone is definitely something to celebrate.

Sorry @Tatanko, anybody could have told you this would happen...

Thanks for trying anyway.

I think that was a typo? no?

It's called getting a new engine. Be lucky it didn't get finished then. Deans plan was for 14 FPS in Novod because he never wanted a new renderer.
