DayZ FPS

Recommended Posts

When on DayZ, my FPS is fine in cities i get around 25 - 35 FPS with low settings, and when i first go on its all fine, but after a while it starts Droping FPS like mad, like everywhere i turn it will drop my FPS down to 1 and freeze for a couple of seconds, then i can move but then it does it again, when i disconnect and reload the game it doesnt do it for a little while but then starts up again, why is this?

My Graphics card is the Amd Radeon R9 270X Series

Try these things if you aren't already.

Turn off Post processing

Turn AA to low

Make sure your resolution is set to 1920x1080 with resolution scale set to 100%

try moving object detail to "normal"

Make sure your system is in high performance power mode.

After this check your cpu and gpu temps under load. Perhaps a heatsink is loose or something

lol this topic has been posted so many times here.

Coulda googled, but alas.

Do not expect amazing graphics with this game. Frames will be low, it is poorly optimized as it is Alpha.

Because this is is really annoying me, even when im near a building out in the middle of no where with like 50 - 60 fps it still drops to like 1.. this is my config settings..

Why is the localvram section in blue? And also what is your other config file? Can I see that? Edited by magicthompz

CPU, CPU, CPU....

I doubled my frames when I went up to an i7 from my old 920.

Arma and DayZ NEED the processor muscle.

This is also old news...but hate to see good money spent on GPU solutions before they consider the MB, CPU, and RAM.

Everything I've read recommends setting max frames ahead to 1, as well as detected frames to 1.  Is there something that we should know about this setting that hasn't made it out into common knowledge yet?
