yes, that scope will change our firearm choice big time !

supressed sporter with scope sound great too ! i can imagine that with the low recoil, we can try to spam the head quite fast even at distance.

i hope that the upcoming IZH-18 can take a scope too, one powerfull cartridge, nice zoom = big damage ! otherwise this weapon will be dumped 9 out fo 10 times.

Winchester or cr527 for me.

Can't wait to toss the mosin... The svd is just gonna be our basic aks without full auto and a larger round but with a pso..... The aks will be getting the new scope nerding their range.

Pso is good for mid range not long which just basically makes the svd a better sks.

Exactly , I can't wait. Now it just needs the camo paint job and it's set.

The CR527 is already an excellent rifle, imo. I have one in my tent with 3 magazines waiting for 0.56 and the new scope. That is going to be excellent.

Plus, those of you talking about the Sporter with a scope are dead right as well. Unleashing 30rnd mags out of that thing at range should be very satisfying.

But theres always that chance they could be more skilled than you or those self declared  "full auto freaks" might have s scope to back them up. lol

No its one of the WORST rifles in the game thus far. Its allot more trouble than what its worth in its current state especially for a gun with a clip you have to reload every single damn time you fire  from start to finish. With a scope it should be able to redeem more respect now with players. Head shots should be less stressful to achieve now. Especially if you can find a magazine.

winchester with the new scope ! mia miam !

This is what I'm waiting for. It has fantastic iron sights to use in the event that there isn't a scope available, too.

I would take the Blaze over the CR527 in a last ditch effort to use iron sights lmao.

I don't know. I used it some and found no issue with it. If you are decent at getting headshots, I find it quite pleasing to use. I wouldn't use it without my 1911 ready to go, but still, I like it. I like the firing animation, the sound, the accuracy, and the fact that the gun is not commonly used. The fact that they are adding a scope to it is icing on the cake to me.

great sights indeed, still have a thing for the blaze sights though, minimal yet effective.

i'll look foreward for weapon balistics in the near future, it might have a huge effect since shooting a .22 at long distance should be quite different than shooting a .308 win or a 7.62*54. sporter with scope should not be a viable option at long range (even medium range maybe), the 7.62*39 should drop faster than a .308 win making the CR527 not so good at long range either.

the true winners and best options for civilian long range weapon should be the blaze and winchester (really hope the IZH 18 will get some love and attention too). in skilled hands, a blaze should compete with the holy SVD when it comes to thoughtfull hunt (players or animals, your call) while the SVD will stand on top for electro mayhem with his 10 bullet semi-auto mode.

how is the .308 win damage ? i have yet to kill someone with this caliber, since the 7.62*54 is a one hit uncouncious, the .308 win shpuld not be far behind

i forgot about this beast, but it will be so rare that you might not use it very often. i see it being rarer than the SVD and only found at russian helicrashes. the VSS might beat every weapons ingame so far in every circonstances except 400+ meter engagements. its light, supressed, use very powerfull subsonic bullets, 10 (maybe mor) rounds that can be fired semi-auto (i don't think the non-AS val version can go full auto)... scary weapon for sure.

Haven't used it against a human, but it's more than effective against animals and zombies. Well-placed body shots on an animal will down them in one. Let me put it this way: I always loved the LongHorn, and the switch to .308 did not reduce its effectiveness in any noticeable way.

I still feel like most other guns will still do better than the blaze in that regard.

Also I don't get it why people are hating on the Mosin. True, it's an old rifle and the only thing being able to serve as a sniper rifle to date, but it is still a good gun with really good range which fires very powerful rounds. It's a bolt action rifle, it is not meant to be used for CQB, same how you won't snipe with an MP5.

I feel like Mosin and the Winchester will be the main sniper rifles in the game in the next update. I don't really consider the SVD because that thing has been on hold since time immemorial and it'll probably be kept out for a while with another excuse.

CR might be utilized a bit, but the 7.62x39mm round is a little underpowered compared to 7.62x54mmR especially since you want to drop targets quickly. If SKS will be able to accept the scope it will likely be more popular than the CR. SKS is a very accurate gun, much more than the average player realizes, I hit targets over 300m with it before, problem being the iron sights are bad, PU Scope isn't too great either.

Blaze I really don't know. Being able to fire two rounds rapidly is nice, but I really don't know how recoil will work at long distances here. I'll need to pick one up and give it a try. Will probably be a poor man's Winchester.

Sporter ? I know someone will pick it up and try it, but aside ruining someone's clothing not much is going to happen here. .22LR is a god damn joke in this game. I have previously dumped an entire 30 round mag into someone, I broke their legs and arms, and they still kept crawling towards me. Another time I ran into a guy who had an SKS, I put many many rounds into him until I focused and got a headshot, which knocked him out. I was then forced to beat him to death with a fire axe.

Long range sniping? Definitely not. Medium range you might get a headshot on someone painfully unaware and then rob them before they wake up. It's gonna be more a weapon of circumstance rather than choice (i.e. you find a scope and then you find a sporter/trumpet).

there is much more love on the mosin than hate. the mosin will continue to be a good weapon. it is a deadly combo with a PU scope right now so it should continue to be effective in the future.

there have been some clue that tell us that the SVD will be included quite soon. not 100% sure, but i think i read something about it in the last Q/A. with the curent magnification of the PSO-1, it might not be that great for very long shots. but since that Q/A, Chris talked about the new optic for AK rifles and the use of PSO specialised for VSS and SVD. that may delay the SVD integration a little.

SKS is overpowered since its day 1 implementation. the reloading animation should be replace with a bullet per bullet reload. is a fast, powerfull, accurate rifle that does not require a mag and most of the time my number 1 choice weapon with a PU scope. before the hunting scope there was not a single reason to pick a CR527 over a SKS.

I've been meaning to try the sporter and see if I can clear out a city of zombies without getting ambushed by a horde of them. The axe gets your gear smashed, other rifles get you ambushed. The mosin from a distance seems to call more zombies onto the street and by the time I circle the town picking off what I can see from the hill tops, there are more spawned and if I have to fire a single shot downtown, I get trained.
