Prerequisites:

* [Prerequisites] - Updated to the newest beta using Steam.


Changes:

[New] - Build mode Camera.

[New] - 1L Water bottle to replace the old military canteen.

[New] - New wooden fence system has been added.

[New] - Chance function to return a true/false variable based on the percentage needed.

[New] - Wooden splint can now be used to fix broken legs.

[New] - Dodge/Block mode to block 1 in 5 frontal attacks.

[New] - Blood regeneration changed updated to provide more blood if the player is stood idle.

[New] - Bleed chance from zombie attacks have been moved to configs (this will allow different types of zeds to give bleed chances)

- Normal - 15%, Viral - 30%, Wild - 10% - Changed from a flat 30% for all types


[Fixed] - Added player check when spawning wild zeds. (Checks to make sure the location the zed will spawn is free from players)

[Fixed] - Infected waterholes now load correctly.

[Fixed] - issue with some wells not allowing you to drink from your hands.(drink action menu will remain active all the time) Looking for a better way while keeping performance.

[Fixed] - Crossbow Flashlight not working.

[Fixed] - Issues with missing var causing an error in 1.63.

[Fixed] - issue when building small stash's and having two sandbags in your inventory it will use both to create the stash.

[Fixed] - Issue with weapon holders not being seen by players logging.

[Fixed] - Issue with raw food not containing nutrition values.

[Fixed] - Zeds can no longer target above 100 meters from players.

[Fixed] - Issue with dayz_ForcefullmoonNights & dayz_spawnselection not showing correct in the journal

[Fixed] - Crossbow Kit model loading an incorrect texture file.

[Fixed] - Issues with ui icons going blank.

[Fixed] - 16 sodas cans (empty & full) + a few other models.

[Fixed] - Transfusion, We have identified an issue with a global variable for reporting players lowblood level's .

[Fixed] - Transfusion, Knockout for players getting the incorrect blood type.

[Fixed] - Transfusion, humanity gain.

[Fixed] - Diminishing effect for blood regen from cooked/raw meat will not effect combined foods.

[Fixed] - Orientation issues with some of the placed poi items.

[Fixed] - Added better feedback for objects blocking buildings being placed.


[updated] - Started removal of old coke, mountain dew and pepsi models. We have no access to edit these models. (Loot table removal for now, Database wipe of all these cans will follow) - Models will be replaced with replaced by lystic, mountain green and peppsy

[updated] - Logout ghosts system now feed back to players correctly.

[updated] - Viral Zeds have been removed from Residential spawns and added to Castle,Military spawns

[updated] - Stash sites have now be added to the build system.

[updated] - Stash sites are now created by right clicking on the sandbag.

[updated] - Sandbags are now created by right clicking on the etool.

[updated] - Zed attack range to 3.2 from 3.6.

[updated] - Replace items dropped when cutting down trees from WoodPiles to Logs.

[updated] - Reduced local spawning zeds to 15(from 20) and nearby to 30(from 20).

[updated] - Damage scale lowered on normal zeds to 450 down from 600.

[updated] - Damage scale from head hits reduced to *2 in place of *4. (head hits should be down to around 2500 from viral head shots).

[updated] - Moved POI stuff from mission back to code (Silly oversight).

[updated] - Prep work to remove loot stacks all together. (Moving items to be single drop items, Ready for placing items on shelf's).

[updated] - Loot building locks reduced from 15 mins to 5. (This will allow more loot to spawn)

[updated] - String table cleanup (been long overdue, With the removal of some of the red tape its nice to cleanup)

[updated] - Rest system updated, Every 16 secs of resting gives blood regen, every 60 gives a chance to cure infection.

[updated] - Rest Animation system is smooth into the animation and can be interrupted to bring players back out in a smooth movement.

[updated] - Trout have been renamed steelhead.


[Removed] - Flies have been removed id forgot all about the issue with cleanups :-(

Quick Install Info:

Full

  • Download Full Client Files and beta files from links above.
  • Navigate to your arma 2 operation arrowhead directory
  • Extract the @Client-1.8.2-Full into your arma 2 operation arrowhead directory and install the newest beta.
  • To start DayZ use a command line string like the below

Expansion\beta\ARMA2OA.exe -mod=@Dayz;CA;Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -noFilePatching -skipIntro -nosplash -noPause -world=Chernarus


Steam

  • Right click Arma2: DayZ Mod, select properties.
  • When the window pops up go to the "BETAS" tab
  • Now Select 1.8.2 in the drop down box.
  • The files should now should now update
  • Launch as normal

Error in both download links. Redirect it to the 1.8.2 folder not the 1.8.2 Dev folder. (Assuming the Dev folder one is locked)

What a great news! 
Have been waiting for this for a while with friends.
Few questions:
Since new nutrition system changed a game focus towards hoarding meat to stay alive from hoarding weapons to kill things, have values of canned foods been adjusted anyhow in this?
I mean offcourse it is more logical to be able to get more benefits from real meat, but you should not die from hunger if you have canned foods. Or is supposed to be new focus?

Second, any idea when this will become available in dayz commander?
Please forgive mistakes made in message, not a native speaker.

To Razor and whole team: Thank you for your work. You have made a great mod and experience which can hardly be surpassed. I speak for myself and my friends when I say there have rarely been so intense feeling of being "in there" than starting in this hellhole they call Chernarus.

Foodvalues have been adjusted for 1.8.2 - please do test it out and report back.

That is in the hand of DayZCommander's creator DotJosh.

Finally!   Nice work guys!

 

I'm still waiting to get my new set of IPs assigned and as soon as that happens, I'll get my server back up.

 

Are any of the server operators still interested in getting a new "Public" hive running?

 

I just ordered some Arista 10G switches for my servers to really speed things up.

@Zhangheili, No idea when it will be released the files have been sent to the BIS/SA team all they have to do is push to steam when that will be is unknown. Both Eugen and Hicks have been contacted about this and we are still waiting. Tins are not 100% don't forget dayz is set a good few years (not saying the actual date, Due to the story for SA) after the event they would provide some nutrition value but no where close to that of a tin being used within its best before date. So yes they provide you some value but no where close to what they should do.

 

@Skydive, There is no official hive so waiting to be added to a white list will be a pretty long time.

 

@dayzjarhead, I start at 6am buss travel and all that fun stuff :-(

whell just installed all and updated server and client all work fine(for now)

after 2-nd rr cars now visable

the only bug or smtg is right after joining i see in menu "Drink" pressing on it and nothing, after some time it dissapears

Its a known issue for now its the only way we can make sure all types of well work. We will try and find a better way.

Server files have been released ready for the steam update. As it says pretty clearly

Client Files: Should be available on steam soon, we do not control this.

 

Now the reason i have released the server files and the date on the post differs.

 

1/Post date differs because the post is made in the moderates section ready to be moved over this post was created when they last gave us the info to release.

 

2/Server files have been released due to info i was given about the client files being released today on steam.(didn't happen) Knowing i was at work for 10 hours i didn't wont steam auto updating and everyone shouting about not having server files. (i wasn't sure id be able to login again today if that was the case due to compulsory up-time at work). So i've released server files ready for the update from steam.

 

Hopefully that clears it up for you.

Hai!

Can you please give a brief report on server-side loot? Pros? Cons? Better than normal-spawning? When and why should it be used? etc. Would be awesome for a change.

OT: Great job on the patch, and thanks for the amazing and continuous work. 1.8.3 hype (rolling changelog) coming soon? LoL.

@Skydive, There is no official hive so waiting to be added to a white list will be a pretty long time.

I have been thinking about adding a option to my software CC where users can choose to use a shared "global" database. Not sure yet but, yeah.
