  3. Hello Survivors! :) I just bought a new computer and was wondering how good it will run the Dayz mod. I know these threads come up all the time but I couldn't find one with the same setup that I have. I will write my setup under this wall of text very soon. I know Dayz and Arma II is very bad optimized and some people have higher fps that some with better computer setup have and that's why I wondered. And one more thing, will my SSD do any good in Dayz? So if you have similar setup as mine feel free to post a picture/text of your settings in Dayz and write down how high your fps is in citys and out in the forest, what map you play on, how many players there use to be on the server and how many cars there are. Processor: i5 4670K Graphics: Evga GTX 780 Motherboard: Asrock Z87 Pro3 PSU: Fractal Design Integra 650w Ram: Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 2x4gb SSD: Samsung 840 Basic 250gb HDD: 2TB Seagate Barracuda ST2000DM001 And btw haha, Sorry for this sort of thread I guess there are millions survivors who post this sort of thread everyday. But I just couldn't find anyone with similar setup to mine. Thanks, Sincerely Felix.

The specs are as follows: CPU: Intel Core i5-3330 3.0GHz Quad-Core ProcessorMotherboard: MSI H61M-P31 (G3) Micro ATX LGA1155 MotherboardMemory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 MemoryStorage: Seagate Barracuda 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard DriveVideo Card: XFX Radeon HD 7850 2GB Video CardPower Supply: Corsair Builder 600W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V Power SupplyOperating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) Any help would be greatly appreciated! 5. i have a g580 that im most likely going to upgrade to an i5. i can run planetside 2 fine on low/very low settings
  6. It seems to me that my Arma 2 (for DayZ) is not fully utilizing my processor. The processor load in task manager/resource manager stays at 50% pretty much constantly. Wierdly, it shows in the resource manager that each individual core is running at 50% (it shows up as 4 cores because of hyper threading. Here's a screenshot I took while playing (dual monitor, and the game was up but print screen only takes the desktop behind the game, I was playing at the moment though): http://i.imgur.com/6cl9m93.png As you can see, each core (0,1,2,3) is running at 50%, and I'm getting ~17-20 fps right now, using the "-nosplash -cpucount=2 -exThreads=1" launch options in steam. Specs are: Intel i5 3210m 2.5GHz (turbo to 2.9 Ghz) 4GB ram nvidia GT630m GPU (My friend runs the game at 40 fps on intel graphics 4000 which is worse than this and THE SAME EXACT PROCESSOR so I know the GPU is not the problem) How can I get the game to use all of the processor? I've tried all sorts of optimization tricks, been through tons of guides and threads about it, changed config settings, tried different servers, everything. I upgraded from a 1.66GHZ core 2 duo (1st generation m11x) to this 2.9GHz i5 and I'm seriously getting the exact same performance. I've been sitting here tinkering wit the video settings for hours, please don't redirect me to a settings optimization thread, I am more than well informed. I have most settings on normal/low except for textures and VRAM. No Anti aliasing, normal shadows, 1000 view distance. Any help is appreciated.
