  1. I have a Macbook Pro 15" Retina made in late 2013 with the specs as follows: Processor 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7 Memory 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Graphics Intel Iris Pro 1024 MB & 2gb NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M Software OS X (Maverick) 10.9.1 (13B3116) and I was curious if I installed Windows (is 7 better than 8.1?) through bootcamp, if it would run Dayz well on it?
  2. Hey guys, I have a question and i hope you could answer it. Look, I have a Macbook Pro (mid'2011) with this specs: 2,3 GHz Intel Core i5 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion And I'm thinking in Bootcamp to Windows 7 my computer to run DayZ on it, but I'm not sure if it will work well, so thats the question: Will DayZ run well on my computer with Windows 7 and this specs? Thank you!
  3. So first, im new lol. Second, I finally got DAYZ running on bootcamp on my mac. It seems to be running fine, except the controls do not really work properly. I am able to move around, but I cant change my field of view (1st / 3rd person). Any1 running dayz on mac bootcamp, windows 8 know how to fix this problem? Thanks! : )
  4. Hi There! Now before you guys say that macs are bad believe me i know they are the most irritating machines on the planet - that is why it is unfortunate that i have to own one! (unexpected bday present) I prefer pc and recognise that day z cannot be played on a mac! However i was wondering is it possible to bootcamp windows 7 onto my mac pro and play it like that (basically installing windows on my mac) These are the minimum required specs: Windows Vista SP2 or Windows 7 SP1 Intel Dual-Core 2.4 Ghz or AMD Dual-Core Athlon 2.5 GHz Memory 2GB Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT or AMD Radeon HD 3830 or Intel Graphics 4000 with 512MB Vram My specs are pretty average tho: Mac OSX Mavericks 2.4 Ghz Intel Core i5 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 Intel HD Graphics 3000 384mb Do you think considering these specs that if i am running windows it would be possible to play day z? I am aware however that my Intel graphics card is below the minimum - do you think i could get away with it? Thanks guys!

Hallo Guys. *Sigh*, Last year i received my Desktop Imac, and i installed bootcamp on it. Bootcamp is basiclly the official way of installing Windows on a Mac, a Limited version, but the only real reason i installed it was so that i could play games on steam and surf the net, which I've been doing with no problem for a year. You have to hold ALT when you start up the mac, and you get the options of choosing whether to go onto Mac or Windows, and i have Windows 7. So, I haven't been able to get on Windows at all, i was messing about with some files and the recycling bin and i guess i probably deleted something very important without knowing. I was completely good until a switched off the Mac, when i got back on. Whenever i chose Windows i would get taken to the Black screen issuing me whether or not i would like to do Startup repair or not. Heres the first 2 problems:. 1: Anything i try on startup repair does not work, it searches for problems and says it can't find any, it then asks me whether or not i want to send it to Microsoft, which dons't work either. 2: When i go onto start Windows normally, it goes to the Windows loading screen, and after a minute a blue screen with white text pops up in literally a second, which is not good. At all... Ive looked this up, and to be honest. No advice works, I've tried Command prompt, the Advanced restore options, all the F8 options. And i know if i ask Apple or Windows, they will say its the others problem and try and sell me crap. Ive tried system restore when you restore to a previous version, but i apparently have a "Limited Diagnostic" and there is nothing which i can go back to. -HELP!, i want to start Playing DayZ again, and the Christmas season is here, i doth want to get a ton of PC games and end up not playing them at all. -Urgent help, a Worried Wolfy.
  6. Has anyone been successful playing on a Mac running bootcamp?
  7. Hey guys, So I just bought the ARMA 2: Combined Operations on Steam to play DayZ, but the low fps is unbearable. Weird thing is, My FPS is almost the same when i play on High settings and Low settings. They both end up around 10-15 FPS. My Specs: Macbook Pro Late 2011 17' Quadcore 2.4ghz i7 (i7-2760QM) 1gb AMD Radeon HD 6770M 16GB RAM Im running windows 7 ultimate through bootcamp. I can play most games on good fps. Any advice or information will help.
  8. Bootcamp Trouble

Hay, sorry to bother but I have a mac bootcamp related question. Obviously the solution would be to throw this computer of mine into a dark hole and burn it, however I would rather not waste the money I already put into it. Back to the point, I downloaded Arma 2 and the Operation... Flashpoint I believe. Regardless, I have what you need to run DayZ, however my bootcamped computer will not run arma 2. I get the error message "Display adapter does not support format D24S8 for X8R8G8B8" I looked around and it seems to be something involving the graphics card. I don't have the funds to get a 300+ graphics card or something along those lines, instead I was hoping I was wrong and there is an easy solution to this problem. If anyone has faced the same problem, or someone who knows the solution, i'd be grateful. Thanks again, and I honestly hope someone can help me out here.
  9. Hi guys, I'm getting a MacBook pro retina laptop soon and was wondering about the performance I would get in DayZ. Anyone running it on their bootcamped MacBook retina? I'm thinking maybe high settings? I'm going for the 2.3ghz quad core ivy bridge CPU 16GB RAM GeForce 650M 1GB VRAM 256GB SSD Thanks IronMan P.S, I know, get a PC etc
  10. I'd like to play this game on my macbook pro, running windows 7 home premium via bootcamp and I was wondering if it will run smoothly with my processor, and graphics card? Thanks in advance for helping! Processor: 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Memory: 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 Graphics/Display: Chipset Model: NVIDIA GeForce 320M Type: GPU Bus: PCI VRAM (Total): 256 MB Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de) Device ID: 0x08a0 Revision ID: 0x00a2 ROM Revision: 3533 Displays: Color LCD: Resolution: 1280 x 800 Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888) Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Built-In: Yes Display Connector: Status: No Display Connected
  11. Let me rephrase myself: Smallest MacBook Pro (13"), Mac Minis and older apples (before 09´) will have some difficulties. Im less than 1 week old in the DayZ / Arma II community and basically all around it. My friend told me about DayZ on monday. I started looking around for other Mac players to see if the mac could handle it. And people in this forum told each an everyone: "You will have a problem playing it on mac", "The only way to play DayZ on a mac: Buy a PC" etcetc.. Well, the game was just to amazing (after alot of youtubing), so I gave it a go. Bootcamped my MacBook Pro 15" (late 2011) Installed Windows 7 Installed all the Drivers (from BootCamp and Graphic card) Downloaded Steam Downloaded Arma II and Arma II: OA Downloaded Day Z Result: Works perfect! I have great graphics and no lagging at all. Heres even a picture for you: Oh, and I also uploaded a poor video on youtube: http://www.youtube.c...ed/ibsvkFE2m2o So yes, dont give up on trying out the game just because there are alot of Windows Fanboys in this forum. Thank you very much and happy gaming. PS: Thank you google :)
  12. First off, Hello DAYZ forums and member! It's been long overdue but I've finally found my way here. ^_^ On to my question. I know there are plenty of "CAN I RUN DAYZ?!" threads, and I apologize for being another, but I have a unique problem. I'm trying to run mine on a Macbook. Obviously partitioned with Windows XP. Macs are known to not have that great of performance but I have run Fallout 3 and New Vegas as well as the Half-Life series and Oblivion on this laptop. So down to my actual problem. I want to play DAYZ. More than anything in the world. I am willing to do just about anything to get this laptop to run it. So I need to know what I can do. I know there are mods for Skyrim that let you play it on machines that can pretty much be considered ancient. I'm curious as to if there is anything like that for Arma 2 so that I can play DAYZ. I got Arma 2 installed WITHOUT DAYZ and tried to play it and it was about 1-2 fps during the menu and I tried to lower the graphics options completely which barely helped. Then I tried to play campaign just to see if I could run the game itself, and it crashed some time through what I assume was a video. I didn't see anything playing, just heard a voice and something about China and it's population. So, please people, help me out. (According to my Apple.com) Here are my basic specs: 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 1GB (two 512MB of 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM (PC2-5300); supports up to 4GB Intel GMA X3100 graphics processor with 144MB of DDR2 SDRAM shared with main memory 800MHz System Bus According to the Windows Partitions, these are my specs: Intel Core 2 Duo T8300 @ 2.40GHz 1.96 GB RAM 780MHz According to my OS X Partition, these are my specs: 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 2GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM Intel GMA X3100 144 MB I'm sorry for the scarce details on my specs but quite honestly, I'm not sure how to find my specs on the Windows side. D: I have a Desktop that is better performing that this laptop but it has a video card that only supports Shader Model 2. If there is a way to bypass this, I would appreciate the info on the method. Also, minor detail, I may be able to obtain a late 2011 Macbook Pro in the near future so if you are aware if that laptop is able to run DAYZ, please tell me as well. Thank you, KAZU
